VNR VJIET is the best college in Hyderabad and ranked 1 among colleges under JNTUH. College Management always strives to providing a wide range of facilities to students in all aspects such as highly equipped laboratories, Research and Innovation Centers, Career Vision Promotion Centers, field trips, providing guest lectures, projects showcase, conducting workshops etc.

EAMCET and IPE together serve as the entrance tests to get into this college, with 25% weightage given to IPE. Getting a rank below 2000 under General category and 4500 under reserved category helps getting into this college (cutoff ranking for other reserved categories like SC, ST, girls, sports etc., may vary)

Follows the course curriculum of JNTUH. While 40% of the courses in each semester would be focused more on research, the curriculum has a broad scope to continue research in many specific fields. Students are also allowed to take their choice of subjects from the 4th semester.

Many startup companies have alliances with VNR Engineering College which provide Summer internships and guidance to projects in different fields. Most of the companies, though do not provide stipend, they offer assistance to implement good quality projects.

More than 30 companies visit the college every year, with 90% of the students (belonging to ECE, EEE, EIE, CSE, IT) getting placed before their final semester of graduation. With the majority of students (around 250) getting placed in Tata Consultancy Services with an annual package of 3,25,000 (may vary every year) companies like Deloitte, Samsung, CSC, Cognizant, Tech M etc., hire students every year.

Convergence is the national level technical fest held every year at VNRVJIET, with more than 100 (technical and nontechnical) events. Participants from across the country showcase their talent through the wide variety of events. Sintillashunz is the national level cultural fest and also there would be a sports fest, all in the month of Feb-Mar.

the Fee structure is same as any other college under JNTUH. It would be around 35000 per semester excluding Transport, Hostel and Examination fees. Fee reimbursement is provided to those students who are qualified to receive. B-category fee is around 100000 per semester. Transport facility is provided by both college and TSRTC.

Scholarships are provided to merit students every year and also to the students of backward category who are eligible to receive a scholarship.

Gender ratio (M:F) is 2. There would be no discrimination based on gender/ethnicity/race/religion through out the campus. Excellent campus life with a dedicated Student Activity Center located in the college where many extracurricular and co-curricular activities take place.

College hostels are marked one of the best in town with good quality rooms and hygiene food provided in the campus itself, so students need not travel all the way to hostels every day since they are located 3 km from the campus. College hostels rental would be around 35000 per year including Wi-fi services and food.

Yugma, an alumni meet is held on second Saturday of December every year. Almuni provide guidance to final year students, share their experiences and life outside the college. Guest lectures are also provided to students upon request by the Alumni.

Exam structure and labs are a bit chilled out to some extent. There would be 3 mid term exams for every subject each semester whose grade is the average of the 2 best performed exams for 25 marks. The final examination would be for 75 marks. Lab examinations are conducted for 75 marks, with 25 marks for mid term.

Notifications would be released soon after the announcement of EAMCET results. There would be no particular notification for admissions into this college. It follows the regular admission process as all other colleges under JNTUH do. Once notified, students need to prioritize their college + major combinations and rank them in admissions website of JNTUH You would automatically be assigned to the first eligible college in these rankings.
