Remarks
Good thing is that they have quality professors. The toppers of the course are usually from this college. The worst thing i didnt like about this college was that they were so so strict about attendance. If I come to college and go to home after 3 lecture
Entrance Preview
First of all to get admission in BBA, there is no entrance test. Its purely based on h.s.c. merit list. Secondly i choose B.B.A. because i wanted to do something different and better than B.Com and BBA was first time launched in my city Ahmedabad at that time so thought to go for that. Moreover I chosen Som-lalit because the college i wanted to take admission had higher merit list. And after that this college was reputed so thought to go for that.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is designed in such a way that the persons who wants to pursue MBA. After completing BBA can have thorough basic knowledge of almost all subjects of M.B.A. The subjects and syllabus are structured in a way that a person passed BBA can get more knowledge than a M.Com. They have also included viva marks in marksheet.
Internships Opportunities
We had no internship program. That was like drawback to us because after finishing graduation we ourselves had to find job in the market.
Placement Experience
There were no placements facility over there at that time. Nowadays they have started it. That was like drawback to us because after finishing graduation we ourselves had to find job in the market. Frankly speaking I was not able to find a good job as i was expecting after finishing graduation.
College Events
There were so many boundations to us. We were not allowed to celebrate days. Once a year cultural festival was celebrated by gujarat university where we were allowed to participate but no holidays and we had to manage ourselves. No involvements from college. Other than this there were two vacations. First Diwali vacation for 2 weeks during term and second after finishing final exam each year there was 2 months summer vacation. Other than that the usual public holidays.
Fees and Financial Aid
There were no facility of scholarships as it was self financed college. I dont think for college fees any loan was available. Neither i took it nor came to know from any class mates.
Campus Life
This college's biggest drawback their campus. Its very small. Not enough for parking too. Canteen is also located in ground floor of building. Gender ratios were like 60 : 40 for boys : girls. The college was not that much in extracurricular activities. College never promoted sports, other competitions. The only focus was on study. Yes they used to hold debates many times that was study related. Students were used to arrange parties by themselves hiding from college because college was against it. The college was full of rich people. Few NRIs were also studying in it. Girls were so modern. Now a days majority of wealthy students study there.
Hostel Facilities
There were no facility of hostels by college. Few of my class mates were from outside of ahmedabad but they used to manage by themselves. Some used to stay in community hostel and some with their relatives and few in PG. I am resident of ahmedabad so ther
Alumni/Alumna
We never had any seniors. Because we were the first batcher of course. But yes we were senior after 1 year study and we were so nice to juniors. Many of us used to help juniors in their study in library.
