Remarks

We have to get at least 65% marks in the 12th board exams. The admission form can be found on the website and there are no application fees and dates are announced through notice. I haven't availed reservation benefits but they can be availed. The admission process should be automated so that it can be done online.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are semester exams for every exam and internal exams for every semester. The difficulty level is quite good and one needs to read before exams to pass out. The faculties are good. The exams are conducted by the provision of the Calcutta university.

Placement Experience

After semester 5 students get eligible for placements. Earnest and Young have visited most of the time and provided the maximum offers. The highest package offered was 600000 p.a. and the average was 300000 p.a. most of the students are selected as accounts managers. Around 55% of students get placements. I am pursuing CA so I will go with it.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no recent fee hikes and the cost of the study is also minimal, around 5000 for 2 semesters and the complete course at 20k exclusive of the exam fees. There are many scholarship programs run by the college and the college also provide opportunities for joining government scholarship. I haven't completed my studies so I haven't received any job.

Campus Life

A college union is a group of students and they organize a freshers party every year in July. The libraries are flooded with books and journals and provide reading space too. There are computer labs too. The benches are good and the classrooms are well ventilated and bright. There are no sports opportunities which is a negative point. There are WhatsApp groups of colleges and unions for solving problems of student

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
