MSIT REVIEW

To get admission into any course of b.tech in MSIT , you have to give JEE Mains and also you need to apply for the counseling process of GGSIPU separately.One thing that I would like to mention is that mostly in colleges category reservation benefit is not given to other state students but in colleges of GGSIPU you can avail the benefit of reservation based on your category of sc/st. Counseling process is of 3 rounds and you are alloted a seat according to your filled preference of college and your rank. After locking the seat you have to report to the alloted college with required documents to complete your admission process.

Course curriculum is somewhat outdated but it is constantly updating according to need of new subjects like ai,ml, blockchain etc.But the 1st year syllabus contains subjects of various fields of engineering like mechanical,civil, electrical.Faculty members of MSIT are quite supporting and knowledge but this is not the case for all teachers. Mostly the teachers are p.hd or m.tech. In each semester there is a mid semester exam and a end semester exam.

Although college do provide internship opportunities but they are very few . Most of the students take internship on their own . It depends on the skill of student whether they are given a paid internship or unpaid. But almost everyone end up doing atleast one internship before the end of 3rd year

Placements are getting better year by year.In 2022 the highest placement offered was 1.7 cr pa in Google, London and 4 students got 1.2 cr pa offer from Amazon,Dublin. And top 25-30% students of btech get placement of 10lpa or above and and remaing get placed between 4lpa to 10lpa. Almost everyone gets placed as the placement percentage is 98%. Average placement is 12.7lpa and median is approx 8lpa.Most of the major companies do visit for campus placements like Amazon, Microsoft,Adobe ,ZS Associate,etc

Fee structure is quite balanced as it is regulated by Delhi govt and ggsipu.fees for b.tech programm is approx 1.4lakh per year. Scholarship and financial assistance are provided by Delhi government based on the family income limit.job opportunities are enough here to make return of investment high.

Campus area is small but well managed and maintained.There are 4 different buildings for management , engineering,law and MBA. There are enough books present in the book bank and library.This college do lack the sports and extracurricular activities.But various groups or clubs are present in the college ranging from technical to financial to nature to gaming . You can join and contribute and learn in any of the club according to your interest . Most active clubs in MSIT are prakriti, IEEE,Ecell etc

Hostel rooms are not spacious. Rooms include 2 bed ,2 table and chair,2 almirah. There is water cooler at each floor and hot water supply in winters. Hostels to 1st year students are given on the basis of 12th marks. Food in the mess is quite okay , in the starting they give tasty food but with time quality decreases. But at the end, the hostel environment and friends you will get in hostel will be worth remembering.you will enjoy your hostel life (along with studying).

For admission process no group discussion or interview is taken . As the admission is done purely on the basis of JEE Main rank obtained and you have to apply for the counseling process on ggsipu website.
