Remarks

College cut-off was 70% and I applied online and got selected in the last list then I have to verify my documents in college after that I went to take my id card and library card and after that when class started I went to all the classes

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose bachelor's in commerce ( honours ) because it was my dream to become a Chartered accountant but due to money problems I was unable to join my CA Courses and ultimately I joined a corporate job to help my family

Class Size: 15Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Annually fee was around 7000 per annum and I can afford that much so I wish to join Umesh Chandra college and also my friend also joining the same college and it will be fun joining the same college with a friend

Campus Life

In my college annually fest used to happen which was named as umesian and also I got a chance to participate in a cricket tournament but unfortunately our team is unable to perform better so we get out of the tournament.

There are placements in the college campus in the last semester with several companies coming for interviews such as big 4 and big 6 companies and the placements are around 60000-70000 per month after the course.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

I applied to various colleges like AJC BOSE college, THK JAIN COLLEGE, GOENKA COLLEGE and many more. I was selected to most of the universities except one that is Goenka as it was having a higher eligibility criteria which I couldn't able to meet. The reason why I choose this college because my cousin was the alumni of the college and the second reason was the affordability of the tuition fees.
