Remarks
As from the name of the college it is clear that the type of college is Government type. So the admission was based on the procedure of ACPC( "Admission Committee for Professional Courses"). It had the criteria of entrance exam named GUJCET. Our marks were counted as 50% of boards plus 50% of GUJCET. The application fees was 300 Rupees. There were no reserved seats in the procedure.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I have chosen is Computer Engineering because I was so much interested in the computers as well as in upcoming years, the scope of Computer Engineers and IT Engineers is high. The ratio of faculty:student is 1:40. The qualification of faculty is some are PhD and some are Masters. The teaching of the faculty members is great that if they teach us once, the concept is cleared in one time. The exams duration between two semesters is 5 months. It is sometimes difficult and sometimes very easy to pass it
Placement Experience
Placement of college students is nice. The students are eligible for campus placement after 7th semester means after entering in the 4th year. Companies visit the college for recruitment are CyberCom, BeyonData, L&T, etc. Previous year the highest package that the company offered was 600000 rupees per annum excluding insentives. My plan is to do business by opening a franchise of Gaming softwares.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the college is rupees 1500 per year. So the fees of the college after graduation will be 6000 rupees. The college does not provide any scholarship but it notifies all the opportunity of scholarship that we could avail such as the MYSY scholarship which is a government scholarship.
Campus Life
The college life is like do nothing and just enjoy. The college conducts a tech fest every four months. And the non technical events are conducted every month or every two months. There is a library attached with a reading hall in the college. There are many copies of books available in the library. In college there is a Gymkhana in which all sports is played. There is a sports week in college in which all the departments of the college competes each other in 10 different sports event.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel Life is the best life I have lived in my life. The hostel name is Government Engineering College hostel. They provide us a room in which they give us 1 seperate bed, 1 seperate chair and 1 seperate study table. The quality of meal provided by the hostel is like home only. All the food items are changed after two weeks. The registration process for hostel is by filling a form and submitting it at the main building. The annual fees of the hostel is 1750 rupees excluding meals.
