The Life Of a Poornimite(Poornima College's Student)

I just went to the college campus then go to the admission cell they, first of all, check my documents then offer me seats in civil engineering, mechanical engineering and computer engineering and also information technology. Then I selected computer engineering and they took a copy of all the documents and gave us a form to fill then after they asked about fees and I submitted it. They should increase the admission procedure instead of looking for percentages they should look for talent.

I had chosen this course as I was interested in computers so I opt for computer engineering. In my college there nearly 1:10 teacher: student ratio. And most of them are Mtech and some are pursuing phd.In one semester there are two midterm internal exams which are quite hard than rtu exams. But there is a need of developing a new and interactive way of teaching.

As many companies like Goldman Sachs, Celebal Technologies, Ingenius gaming, flipcart and many more came here for internship purposes and provided many internships to students. I was selected by Celebal Technologies for internship and I did an internship on sql server management studio and Azure Data Factory platform.

From the 7th semester companies started to visit campus for recruitment. Companies such as Infosys, Cerebral, TCS, Wipro, Appicino, Cloud Mentor, Genpact, Auriga It and many more. The highest package offered is 18 LPA and the average package is 4lpa. The percentage of student placement is more than 80%. My plans are to continue in ai/ml or data-related fields.

The fees policy is the fees remain the same as the year of admission for the entire course no hike will be done. There's an additional fee for stationaries also as stationaries are provided by the college. As there is no scholarship directly provided by the college according to marks or test scores so no scholarship from the college hand. Still, there are many companies that provide internships and jobs with the recruitment cell.

There are fests in the college like freshers party in October (party thrown for 1st-year students), Arohan in January (Biggest fest of the college in this celebrities come and much other competition are done whole 2-3 days), Aadhar (project displaying in high scale). There's a central library with an optimal number of books which can be issued with the help of student id cards and the library consists of optimal sitting space. There are many students group in the college like hack club, aptitude club, coding club, udaan aeromodelling club and many more clubs.
