A Walk in the MCE campus

For admission, Firstly after completion of our 12th board examination, we had to take a KCET exam which is mandatory for admission in different universities of different domains. Ranks will be given based on our performance and based on that we can apply to different universities which come under those rankings. There will be reservation benefits as well but they will be for a lesser number of people. After the selection of different universities, we will be given the universities to which we are eligible to get admitted.

The course which I chose was B.E Mechanical. This is because I felt that computer science could be hectic. I won't regret my decision because I could get hands-on experience on different topics in the mechanical domain. Practical knowledge was given properly for the proper understanding of the different topics and the faculty members are very student friendly and help you understand the concepts clearly. There are about 30 to 40 faculty members and there are about 180 students per domain in a year. The faculty is well qualified with them having years of experience in the teaching arena.

There are many internships offered in our college. BOSCH, One trust, Toyota, and VTU-NASD were some of the organisations which offered internships. We were given a trainee job were able to learn about the happenings in the organisation. Certain tasks and assignments were given that were supposed to be completed within the given period of time.

Placements in our college are very good. Different companies from all over the country visit to hire our products. Many multinational companies attend and select people from various departments. There is about 60 to 70 per cent of the whole college gets placed. Central government jobs will be offered to her too. The highest package is 14L and the average package is 4.2L. I am willing to join an MNC as I have certain financial issues

Fee structure differs for different students with AIDED quota have lesser figures and students with NON AIDED quota have higher figures and students who are coming from management background will hvae to pay a donation for the admission along with the admission fee. Fees may differ for different departments. There are a lot of scholarships which can be utilised. SSP and MHRD are one of well-known scholarships as they offer a good amount of money. It requires certain qualifications.

There are two semesters in a year. In the odd semester, we have a fest named jamboree and in the even semester, we have a fest named Malnad fest. These are the annual fests for each semester. There is a tech fest in the odd semester which has a lot of tech-fun-related activities. There are two libraries, one is the main library which has books from all departments and one more is the department library which has books referred by the faculties. Sports on this campus are a main. We have basketball, football, cricket, badminton and many more which we can participate in at the state level and nationals. There are many clubs where we can interact with people from various departments
