Remarks

There will be an entrance exam conducted by the college itself. Admission is given on this basis, only a small majority of students come from the management quota. the application form is available on the college website itself ( you can find the college website by simpling googling sathyabama university ) there you can find the placement and fees structure or you can also come to the college admission office personally, I would suggest talking to teachers first for admission. I think the question asked in the entrance exam is quite standard and the admission process was also very smooth so I think there is no need for improvement in the admission process. Best of luck! if you are preparing for Sathyabama University

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose B.E., C.S.E., as it is the best engineering course you can have because it has the most scope and least risk among other fields. I think there is a fair bit of faculty in our college like for every subject there are two teachers one main and one associate there are approx 700 faculty and the ration is 1 teacher to 30 students. Most of the teachers are very good but some of them only waste your time. The teaching method is the same old black boar. There are exams every month for every year 2 Main semester exams 4 continuous assessments 2 Assignments and 3 lab notebooks. The QUestions asked in the exam are a bit predictable so it is not that hard to pass exams.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Samsung Prism R&D came and took 9 students with no stipend. Nokia came and took 90+ students for different roles with a 25K monthly Stipend CTC. and some more small companies came and took 1-2 students Infosys took 5 students with 18k stipend and ola electric took 2 students for 14 stipends

Placement Experience

4

At the 7th-semester placement starts last year around 300 companies visited and 2000 offers were made you can see the charts at sathyabama recruitments website the highest package was 41 Lakh which is by the way not that much because it was offered by a japan's company and he needs to shift there and in japan, 41 lakh is very less for a single person to live and lowest was 3 lakh and average stood at 6 lakh. Every year more than 90% of students get placed. I plan on getting an SDE role at an MNC.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my 2019-2023 batch the fees vary according to the Sathyabama entrance exam rank The highest WHat I have heard is 250000 pre-year and the lowest is around 170000, I pay 205000. But from this year onwards the fees are hiked to 300000 to 350000 and for specialized batches throw in one more lakhs. There is a way in through a Scholarship of 50% and one more by Entrance exam's rank. My friends got an internship in Nokia for 8 lakh CTC

Campus Life

2

There was only one Fest in my term in which Yash (KGF) came, Aditi Rao Haydri, and Tamannah Bhatiya came to visit our college. There is a huge library and almost all the books are there be it study be it novels be it foreign studies and even for entrance exams. There is no scope for sports in my college or there is any social group. Yes, there are some clubs but nothing happens there. For north Indians, there is no campus life the crowd is Tamil and Telugu.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I gave 5 because there are 2 hostels one ac and one non-ac. The nonhostel is just hell it's not liveable. There are all types of insects water problems and whatnot. one room 5 people and only one electricity socket no wardrobe just hell. but the ac one is liveable in one room there are 2 electricity sockets 1 well-attached washroom and 3 people sharing. Water is coming 24X7. in both hostels you have to wash your clothes. At first, I thought that food is bad but after 4 years of studying, I realized that our college food is far better than what I eat outside. Non Ac hostel was 80K then it became 95K and ac was 175K then it became 200K. This last year I rented a 3BHK with my friends which is very good and affordable there is a market near my apartment and a bus stop also.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.
