Aligarh Muslim University a Dream for Many!

Admission to Aligarh Muslim University was only through entrance exams, eligibility is a minimum of 50% in the qualifying exams. The application forms for the entrance exam are available on university's official controller website which opens around the last week of April and the fee for the application is around 400 for each application applied, application for the entrance process is open for 3 months and the dates also extends for around 15- 20 days, being Central government college fee for every course is very affordable, my fee for Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Economic was 27000 for three years. Reservations is for Internal students, SC, ST, and PWD. The admission process is quite smooth after the entrance exam university puts a list on their website of selected candidates, and those students who have got selected are given a date and time to report to the department along with documents which are also listed on the website.

I wanted to do an M.B.A in finance and I wanted to learn economics so I gave the entrance exam for this course and got selected, faculty and students are adequate teachers who are available to the faculty and clear query and doubts. Faculty have a minimum qualification of 20-30 years all are well versed in their respective subjects. Exams were held each semester and 2-3 departmental tests were there before semester exams. Difficulty was above moderate you have to study and revise daily to get good marks in exams.

There are not many internships, companies such as Jio, Amazon, Facebook, LinkedIn, Wipro, and TATA do come for placement but for other departments like CS and mathematics, and statistics. Stipends are monetary which students get monthly.

After taking a degree I plan to get admission in MBA course after this and want to pursue further studies. Currently, I'm preparing for CAT and want to into IIMs and pursue MBA there. MBA from Aligarh Muslim University is also good considering a very low fee but placement wise it's not that great.

There were no fee hikes during the year which I studied for, scholarships are there first central government scholarships then state government scholarships, and alumni association scholarships are there.

There are many pages on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter that are social networking websites, and WhatsApp and telegram groups are there. And alumni groups are there which are very old, the university alumni association is very strong.
