All About DSB Campus Nainital-Kumaon University

The admission process for DSB Campus Nainital-Kumaon University is very smooth. On the official website of Kumaon University, kunainital.ac, application forms, application fees and application dates are available for all courses. After submitting the application form, the university provides a merit list based on criteria to inform the students if they are eligible or not. For students under the reserved category, a separate merit list is provided, for each reserved category. So the chances of reserved candidates are much higher. Overall admission procedures are smooth, and all the students that are selected under merit list-based criteria are called on a particular date, with documents in need for their admission process, and hence 4 to 5 merit lists are approved.

My sole reason to chose this course was that I am interested in statistics. So I selected statistics as my third optional subject to learn from the very basics. Students are divided into two batches( two for Biology, and two for mathematics), so the environment of the class is good. All the professors or assistant professors and lecturers are the best in their fields. Under the Co-Vid circumstances, all the classes and lectures were shifted to online ones. Terms here are divided into semesters. So at the end of every semester exams are conducted. If you have a mindset to work hard and will focus on your studies then it is not too hard to achieve good marks here.

The fee structure for all courses at Kumaun University is different. For some courses, there is a fee of more than INR 30,000 per year, but for some courses, there are negligible fees, approximately 3000 per year. Opportunities to apply for scholarships are given from time to time, and faculty puts notices on notice boards to inform students about scholarship forms and also circulates them within groups made for educational purposes.

On campus, life is fun. There are various festivals conducted by University every year. Festivals like goonj, are the most popular ones. At the end of last semester, a farewell party for the most senior batch is conducted by their juniors. Fresher's parties are conducted for newcomers, in every department. In a library, there are a lot of books available. They are resourceful and are provided to all the students in need. Classrooms are big and staired-seat structured. That makes it easy to communicate with students and professors or lecturers. Extracurricular activities are also provided optionally. You can participate if you want to. There is also NCC for both girls as well as boys. A lot of students in politics have made groups to help people in need, and to help them with the admission process or about any notices.
