Remarks

Eligibility is through the entrance exam called NEET held every year. The NTA is responsible for holding the exams, it posts the notice when the application forms are out on its official site. Reservation benefits are provided to the minorities such as OBC, SC, ST, PH, EWS, etc. Improvement can be done in the roller coaster system so that the open category seats do not get filled by the reservation too

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is well organized and divided into particular subjects for each year of the course including both practical and theoretical; aspects. I chose this course because it provides the way to the profession I wanted to pursue and it provides us with a good source and platform for the knowledge we need faculty: student ratio? 1:50 Faculties are qualified and have a vast and thorough knowledge of their subject with experience of many years. The teaching method is mostly by projector method along with chalk and duster to clearly explain the topic. Term exams are held almost every 3 months. The difficulty level is moderate. Lenient marking.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There is no such involvement of companies in this field since it is a govt. Oriented professional field. We get recruited to the PHCs, CHCs, and other hospitals. The internship period is done from the college hospital itself. The period is of one year with the stipend decided by the state govt. For Rajasthan, it is 14k monthly currently. There are research opportunities provided by the departments of college if students are interested.

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fee in the initial year is a bit more than the rest years because of certain grounds. But from the next year, it gets reduced to almost half of what it was in the first year and it's not much since it's a govt. College. There is a 10% increment in college and hostel fees every year. Estimated college fees can be 50-60k for reservation students and 80-100k for open category students. The college doesn't provide any scholarships of its own but one can apply for scholarships, college allows that. Students can also get student loans under the name of the college for their study expenses. Medical college doesn't provide you with any job. After MBBS there is the internship period for 1 yr where you get paid according to the state govt. Policies the college comes under.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest of our college is a wave. It used to be held every year but for the last two years it wasn't due to covid protocols and lockdown but it was held this year. It was a five days annual fest usually held around July-august. All kinds of books are available in the library which are required for the study and extra studies along with foreign author books. We can issue any book for a fixed period to study without having to buy it. Amenities of classroom- spacious room with moderate ventilation. The benches are in higher order as we go to the rear side of the classroom so that it's easy for students to see the board. Sports and extracurricular activities are promoted and there are different grounds for that purpose only where interested students can go and play. Sports like tennis and swimming have coaches assigned as well to teach properly. Sports day is also held for this very reason. There are certain pages on Instagram run by the students of the college for sharing views.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are modest. Facilities provided in the room- rooms are kinda spacious and have proper ventilation with windows and balconies. Other things they provide with the room are an almirah, bed, table, and a chair. Meal quality is average. Some days it's good some days it's bad. And there is a fixed menu for all seven days with seasonal vegetables included. The registration process for the hostel allotment is through college only. If rooms are vacant, they provide them to you based on your year of study. Fees increase 10% every year and cost around 28000/- if we take an average. I'm staying in the college hostel which is five minutes away from the college campus. The hostel campus itself is good and is in a good locality from where everything is close.

We became eligible for placement after internship. Till internship,we don't have any choice to work anywhere else unless your family own a hospital. After internship,we can join a hospital as mbbs doctor or we can opt for examination like NEET pg or UPSC CMS or M.O. Highest package is 1-2 lakhs per month Lowest package is 50000 per month Percentage of students getting placement -80% My plan is to qualify neet pg and get a high ranked course .
