Embodiment of my life!

It was a blessing to be a part of Karunya University. I'm really thankful to God for our college management which works effectively for students. On the 1st day everybody will cry to come to college . But on the last day all will cry more than the 1st day to leave our college..that's our Karunya University. It's a home at distance for us. I cherished my memories even as I filled this form

My only option was Karunya University because my elder brother did B.E EEE there from 2006 - 2010. As his sister I know how blessed he was to be a graduate of Karunya University. So from 8th I fixed my mind on KARUNYA University. I appeared only for Karunya Entrance Exam- KEE2011. 3500 students appeared for that academic year and I secured 286th rank and got into 1st day morning section counseling and all courses were available to me. I took ECE.

Course is well structured. We have both internal and external exams. Also practical lab sessions. Both online and hard copy study materials. We have staffs to help us in hostels too. The depth of knowledge and the exposure we get is remarkable. I'm happy to be an Electronics and communication engineer.

Yes our university provides internship. Stipend varies from 5000 and above. Infosys, wipro,capgemini,cts,Bosch,hcl,vdart, n many more....lot of companies came to our college.

In our batch(2011-2015) our college achieved 92 percent placement. We had several core companies and software companies coming to recruit. I got placed in Infosys. Package is 2.7 lakhs p.a during training and after training 3.25 lakhs p.a. HCL offered 7 lakhs p.a.

The very famous event of our college is Christmas mega play. Every year it will be uploaded in You tube and we have viewers from all over the world to watch it live on that day. Another special event is Mindkraft- it's technical events with lot of games and events...foods stalls and celebration at end. We have retreats ...those r unforgettable memories. Our college strength is 10000+ and hence lot of participants.

Fees looks expensive to outsiders but it's worth to pay the fees. 116000 per year. All students got free laptop, free Wi-Fi. We had international learning structure. There was an initiative called IAESTE through which we can continue our studies in foreign university too. We had very good technical and value based exposures. We have a separate dept called department of value education(DoVE). Our university alumnus are known for values.

Yes our college offers scholarships and loan facilities too. I have not availed but I'm aware of it. Minority scholarships, scholarships for students who lost parents, scholarships for students who gave good score. Also feasible loan facilities.

We had several opportunities every day. Both technical and general ones. I have attended several workshops and symposiums. We also have a very special event called Karunya Annual Athlete Meet which encourages sports persons. Our college has worn many trophies on sports. Ragging was strictly banned. We had many cultural events. We were provided with many platforms to expose our talents and develop our skills. I really loved my college and I'm proud to be a Karunyan. I presented my final year project paper in an international conference and my paper got published in an international journal (IJAER) International Journal of Applied Engineering Research.

Our college is rated best for hostel foods because most of the students gained weight after joining. Ours is compulsory residential university. We had mess in every hostels. It's close and so we don't have to travel to eat. We have breakfast with milk or tea or coffee. Then lunch with two curries and vegetables and appalam. Evening snacks and milk or tea or coffee. Night dinner with two varieties. During exams we get coffee n tea at night's too.

Yes. We are in touch with our seniors. We. Have shared many. Good moments in hostels and after graduation too. We have alumni cell to keep in touch

Exams were were structured. We have three internal exams of which third one is optional. Best of two internals will be considered. We had lab exams too. Most of us secured full marks in lab exams because we've been taught well. We had gaps between all semester exams. So it was not so hectic.

Admission was purely based on Karunya Entrance Exam. It was a three days counselling section. Based on my rank I got everything done on the 1st day itself. There were 5 steps like document verification, photocopy submissions,course selection, value education counselling and fees payment. All procedures were easy and we were well guided by the university staff and students. After the 5 steps we met the registrar and vice chancellor who welcomed us to the university.

We have very loving and educated faculty. Most of them have completed their doctoral degrees and the rest is pursing PhD. We have several research scholars too. All our staffs helped us even after working hours. We have unmarried staffs in our hostels as wardens and senior residential advisors(SRA). They help us in academics and personal life too.
