Remarks
There are 2 different processes by which you can get admission to Nirma university. The first is through ACPC and 2nd is through Jee main. I got admission through ACPC. ACPC provides you your rank based on 40% of GUJCET score and 60% of respective Board exam percentage. Based on your rank, you got branch and college. In the 2nd process, Nirma university provides you rank based on your all-India rank in JEE mains. In Nirma, 50% of seats are open for students through ACPC and 35% of seats are open for students through JEE mains and 15% of seats are reserved for NRI students.
Course Curriculum Overview
Based on the current revolution in the tech field and expected opportunities in the future, I decided to take a computer science engineering course at Nirma University. In this course, you get every important subject of computer science at Nirma university. All faculty are interactive and responsive and all faculty members are highly qualified and with Ph.D. All the faculties follow the Outcome based teaching methodology. Term exams take after every six months and are moderate. Papers have been set on the level of all the students.
Internships Opportunities
In the 3rd-year 6th semester university offers internships in various companies for real-life exposure to various roles like software engineer, Analyst, product manager, etc. Companies coming for internships are Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Reliance, etc.
Placement Experience
Nirma University has its own dedicated placement cell for campus placements. Generally from third year we are eligible for internships and after 4th year we are eligible for campus placements. The average package in specific computer science engineering department is 17 lakhs and the highest package is 88.87 lakhs offered by Bloomberg lp. Almost 95% students got his/her first job from campus. Almost every product based and service based companies visit university for placements. Some of them are JP Morgan chase, Morgan Stanley, Qualcomm, Oracle, Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Media.net etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure and cost to study is quite high for lower middle class family students. In computer science engineering course the fees is 181000 INR per year. But University also provides scholarships based on you JEE mains/ACPC ranks upto 100000 INR. Also if student is from Gujarat board then he/she surely avail MYSY scholarship for all those who has minimum 80% pr in board exam. University has dedicated placement cell for campus placements with minimum package of 500000.The highest package in 2022 placements is by Bloomberg lp is 88.87 lakh. Almost 95% students are placed.
Campus Life
Fests and events are regularly being conducted. Nirma university has a very huge campus of 115 acres with an Enormous amount of beauty and peace. Sports championships and cultural fests are also being celebrated. All the classrooms and labs are centrally Air conditioned. Every class room has its dedicated projector for good visualization of concepts. There are many clubs like codeadda, computer society, Rotaract club and social club like NSS. Nirma has very huge collection of data in library every department has its dedicated libraries. All the latest research paper and journals are available at library.
