Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for Honours in English because I love literature, and it has a lot of scope in my career. There are 8-9 teachers and the class strength is around 20. The teachers have all qualified Masters in English though none of them hold P.hD in English. Each semester is 6 months and there is a mid-semester exam after 3 months and an end-semester exam in the 6th month. There are also class tests and assignments. The checking is strict and one must study hard to score good marks.
Fees and Financial Aid
The monthly fees of the college are Rs 3400 and the yearly fees are Rs 4000. There are library fees also. Compared to other colleges, this college is cheap. There are no official scholarships but students with financial problems can appeal for fees reduction, and fees are reduced if needed.
Campus Life
There are monthly religious festivals, and there are no fests. There are multiple libraries and almost all books one might need for the course are available. The classrooms are basic and there are also special rooms for e-learning. There is also a free internet cafe inside the college. There are monthly competitions for various sports depending on the weather There is a student council with multiple segments which help in the functioning of the institution.
Hostel Facilities
The college comes with mandatory hostel life. The hostel is strict and there are prayers twice a day. 3-4 students live in each room, and the rooms are provided with a bed, a student table and chair, and an almirah. Water is available 24*7. The food quality is not great but eatable. There is no different registration process as a hostel is mandatory for students of the college.
