Remarks

Management of college was okey. Overall experience of college was great because of type of students it brought together to interact. Overall profile of students, alumns and faculty is very good. The Brand of MNNIT is today, which defines the type of person I am today is one of my definitions today.

Entrance Preview

Entrance Exam- AIEEE, AIR- 3366 Score- 262 Reason- Best NIT in northern India. My parent wanted me to stay near by, i.e. I have to choose one among the NITs of northern India. MNNIT because it continuously flourishing history. A number of great Alums that the college has given. And the brand name MNREC is itself enough for recognition.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The 44 subjects or courses that we went through, were good in terms of having a feel of Mechanical Engineering. The competitive enviroment it provide helps students alot in terms of enhancing their capabilities. And this is the reason that most of the candidates of NIT-A, who after completing their college, aspire for Job in Government Sector land up in good place because of the competitive enviroment they had in clloege.

Internships Opportunities

Basically for mechanical engineering, atleast sure about my batch that none of the companies came for internship to our college that time.

Placement Experience

3.5

One of the biggest hit to placement was that PSUs stopped visinting NITs. Still anyone who was eligible and wanted to secure job at the campus, with making small adjustment. Almost among those eligible 80% were placed with aveg package of 5.70lakhs. Higest package was offered by NI around 10 lakhs.

College Events

4

1. Avishkar-Technical Fest at NIT A 2. Culrav- cultral fest. 3. Swagat- Fresher Party and performance. 4. Ruksat- The farewell party. The first two event were major events of NIT-A. The local college student participation was too good, but outside college participation was less. Getting rewards and certificates was a bit tough, due to high competition. But these events gave a feel of fullness to us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

25k per sem + 13K mess fee per sem. that it. too feasible and affordable. Scholarships were available. For financially weaker candidates scholarship was from UP government and few scholarships were also run by centre. So any one could study without the issue of fees. Loans were easily available.

Fees and Financial Aid

Easily available, fees shall not become a stone in your path too feasible and affordable. Scholarships were available. For financially weaker candidates scholarship was from UP government and few scholarships were also run by centre. So any one could study without the issue of fees. Loans were easily available.

Campus Life

2.5

For Mechanical, Gender Ration was pathetic- cannot be even counted as 1:100. At our time, maximum student were from all corners of UP The events: Extracurricular: Good opportunity for those who wanted to be indulged. Lab: A bit weak and poor condition. Sport: Average. Competitions: good college level exposure.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Foods: Intially it was okey, but with the passage of time it turns pathetic. Final year mess was better than 3rd year, which was better than 2nd year, was far better than 1st year. But with passage of time, it always became hard to eat that stuff. Hostel: Old rooms, a number of people to share limited room space. 1st year rooms are okey to accomodate 4 people, but 2nd and 3rd year rooms are not enough for two people.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of Alumni are in Public Sector, so may not be very helpful in placement. But still the positions they hold make us proud. Seniors were open to help, but you should know to which senior to look for what.

Exam Structure

4 year course 2 semesters a year. 1 &2 year - A semester comprises- 2 test + 1 exam+ 1 lab test and quiz(if applicable). for test- 2test a day generally continous for 3 days. for exams- 6 day continous 1 in one day. 3 &4 year- 1 test and 1 exam - 1 day each. Except exams it was completely chill out time.

Admission

Admission Process: Post starting of admission process, we need to prepare for the Entrance Exam, in our time in 2010 it was know as IIT-JEE and AIEEE. Today the exam AIEEE & IIT-JEE are combined in 1, making 1 exam known as JEE. Held in 2 phase, main and advance. Main today is used for NITs and related institues councilling and advance today is used for IIT counselling. 1. AIEEE examination 2. Online filling of choices. 3. Allocation of institute. 4. Freezing of the institute and paying confirmation fees. 5. In case you wish to go for the recouncilling, wait till joining. if not allocated desired institute, you may go for counselling again and give up your existing seat allocated. And so on. 6. Registration at college in Mid July. 7. Mess fee payment. 8. Hostel allocation. 9. Classes start

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculty were highly qualified in terms of their degree.Except few good teacher like MST-Vinod Yadav. Some teacher had great BHAUKA;- MD Singh. Few issues were with the subject which includes computer analytics. Labs definitely were not in very good condition to learn alot from them, as they didn't forced the erge inside you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
