Pretty good campus but poor academic experience

Admission into this medical college is through the NEET UG exam and based on rank in it. One needs to participate in the counseling process after the neet UG results through Gujarat state quota on the website medadmguj.org all the details regarding admission will be provided there. Reservation benefits are of course provided though I didn't avail myself since I am from the general category. The admission process is slow and tedious. A bit faster would make it good for those who don't get any admission and prepare for NEET UG for next year taking a drop.

I chose this course cause I was passionate about this field one can say it was like the love of my life... Talking about faculty. The faculty experience in this college is a bit disappointing. Some of the departments Don't have enough faculty members and thus this hampers the lecture frequencies. Faculty are qualified. Regarding the term exams, it's taken frequently while in 1st year later everything turns out to be just for the sake and not on fixed time intervals and the difficulty level, it's a mid-range difficulty, one can easily pass the exams even by self-study.

The internship is the final step of the undergraduate degree is being provided and good exposure too provided with a regular stipend of 15000 -18000 per month. The internship is evenly done in every department and overall is a good experience. And may help one understand the area of interest for PG.

When I took the admission it was 30000 for our batch and remain the same but the resent info says it's hiked to 3.5 lakhs for upcoming batches. So it's for my batch the 3 lakhs per annum is the fees, so a total of 12 lakhs for the whole course .one can avail scholarship like mysy, the info is provided and students are well guided by our student's section for info regarding it. Also, reserved categories have a few different scholarship opportunities that they can avail themselves of. The internship provides a stipend that was 15000 per month and has been hiked to 18000 per month.

We have a pretty big campus and a great social life. We celebrate almost every fest and even support sports. Books and journals can be availed from the Library which has a vast range of study material and books even we have a reading room that is capable of accommodating a lot of people and has a good environment to study. Classrooms and other infrastructure are pretty good every room has enough space and sitting arrangement and is well ventilated. Campus supports a few games like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis etc. We even have sports weeks at least twice a year and other sports events too. Even the extracurricular activities are being supported. Social life is good we have sports groups like cricket and football group that is run by students and a few faculty members as well.
