Remarks
Admission during the session 2019-20 was solely based on the 12th percentage and the cutoff for that session was around 90% in maths Hons. There was no barrier in terms of age. The admission process consists of 3 processes. Firstly applying to different streams secondly publications of cutoffs and reporting at the venue and finally document verification and admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum mostly resembles Delhi University structure in Mathematics Hons with 2 electives to be taken in 1st and 2nd year. Boys to girls ratio is nearly 50% and faculty to students ratio are about 1:5. Faculties were cooperative and held degrees from IITs and Central varsities. Exams are usually held timely expectation this year which was mostly interrupted by Covid.
Fees and Financial Aid
Owing to the fact that it's a full government institution the fees are quite affordable. Most of the course range from 5-50K range. Fee hikes are rare and minimal. Hostel boarding will cost around 10-15k/year. Numerous scholarship opportunities are available and generally given based on either merit Or income/caste. Placement is not so good here as there is no active placement cell.
Campus Life
All cultural fests are held under the banner Pride of Ravenshaw. This includes the Literature society, Film society, Economic Society, Radio, MUN TedX, etc. Along with these, there is an annual fest and convocation. Classrooms are generally well equipped with smart boards and ac expectations to some departments.
