Remarks
The admission procedure is done by GTU - Gujarat Technology University. I availed the benefits of OBC during my admission. Overall easy admission process, and no confusion while applying here. One has to pay application fees of 300 Rs to GTU while applying.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is decided by GTU and is surveillance under GTU. The college only follows the curriculum and rules provided by GTU. Overall very good faculty members and though supportive also. Every 6 months a Semester exam was taken as per GTU rules.
Internships Opportunities
The college officials give projects every semester. 1 single project is assigned to a group of students (6-7Nos). Talking about internships so yeah there are internships for students which are quite good as it depends upon the practical learning which makes us industry ready.
Placement Experience
My college provides overall a good placements opportunity to every single student. Though it is based on the student's skills and knowledge and the way he cracked on-campus interviews. The highest package gone for BTECH is 8 LPA. An average package offer was between 5-6.5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees were very much low. Any student can afford it, his /her family conditions and background don't affect much. For one year the fee was 1500 Rs for boys. I think it's free for girls. After entering the last year of the degree internships are also provided by the College only.
Campus Life
The campus of Government engineering college, Rajkot was good. There is a sufficient facility for every need. There are canteen facilities on the campus only. Sufficient sports facility with different types of equipment and particular ground for every sport.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is a Government hostel with fees of 2200 Rs per year. Which includes only living and washroom facilities. Other rest of the work like washing clothes and mess has to be done by own self. There is a mess facility with 70 Rs per time for dinner or say lunch. There is a bedroom and a personal Almirah for every student. 3 Students per Room.
