Remarks
The admission process a through an entrance test named IPU CET ( IP University Common Entrance Test ). Minimum eligibility for the course is 60% and above in class 12th, and scoring a rank between 1-2500 in IPU CET. The form is available on the official website of GGSIPU ( http://www.ipu.ac.in/ ). The admission process was very smooth However, the fee collection process can be improved a little bit by adding more ways such as UPI, etc. to collect the fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course specialized in banking and insurance and I opted for it because I wanted to go into the finance field The student ratio would be 5:55 5 teachers for 5 subjects and 55-60 students in each section The faculty was very knowledgeable and qualified, all the information about the faculty is available on the Maharaja Surajmal college website. The exams were conducted promptly and the difficulty level was between moderate to difficult. The passing criteria would be to score at least 25 marks out of 60.
Internships Opportunities
The Internship roles offered were sales and marketing roles, digital marketing, content writing, etc TRIEL your services, Green Gain Financial Services, etc are some companies providing internships Most of the internships were paid and the stipend ranged from 5000 - 20000 per month.
Placement Experience
The students became capable of campus placement in the 6th semester Companies like DE Shaw, AIM India group, SHL, etc visited for placements The highest package offered was around 20 lakh And almost more than 70% of students got placements. My plan after getting the degree is to study further for my master's.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees were normal considering the college and the infrastructure however the fee hike of 15,000 during my second year made it costly. However, the college provides paid internship opportunities and campus placements who offer decent pay considering the degree and level of experience.
Campus Life
The annual fest was named genesis which was conducted during the winter season. The library and book bank were also a blessing for the students as we could borrow books from the book bank to study for the whole semester and return them after the exams free of cost. The classrooms had ACs and windows which made them well ventilated, however, only the classrooms on the 4th floor had air conditioners and the rest didn't. Sports and extracurricular activities included football, volleyball badminton, etc The college organized inter-department competitions where the various departments competed with each other in sports such as football, and the college also organized a sports day every year. There were various societies in the college too, music, dance, photography, and sports to name a few. I was a part of the photography society.
