Umeshchandra College - Salt Lake Campus

The eligibility criteria are just you must have passed class 12th board with at least 75% marks. There are no entrance exams and one can find everything about the college on its website. There are admission forms that one needs to fill out online and then the admission lists are posted on the website. Accordingly, we have to pay 5000 as admission fees online and go to college for registration. I haven't availed of the reservation benefits but our college does provide them. The admission process should be more automated so that things go more smoothly.

The course helped me with my other professional course in cost management accounting that's the reason I have chosen it. The faculty is well trained and qualified and around three-fourths of professors are male. There is most likely the same number of boys and girls on the 2nd campus. The qualifications of the faculty are as per guidelines issued by the University of Calcutta. There are semester exams every 6 months and in between internal exams are there one could pass them easily with flying colors by reading a month before exams.

The college fees are a minimum of 5000 per year and there are no fee hikes the average cost of the study is around 6000 a year. There are no scholarships offered by the college but yes they offer scholarship schemes run by the government and one can apply for them. I haven't opted for jobs from my campus but yes there are campus placements and the stipends vary from 5000-15000.

There is a freshers' party every year on campus. The library is well stacked with books and journals one can even borrow them. The classrooms are well ventilated and lighted. The classroom is clean and the benches are also good. Sadly, our college doesn't provide any sports facilities at all so if you want to make a career in that I wouldn't recommend you our college. There is a student union to solve the problem of the students.
