Remarks

the admission process was simple and it was easy to understand, the only problem which I faced was the confusion between the forms. I mean you have to fill 2 forms one is of Mumbai University and the other one is Wilson College form. so initially it was confusing but if you get to know, then things work fine for you. The last cut-off list which is the 4th merit list for the General category stops at 90% for the BMM course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I always wanted to do something which includes me interacting with cameras and people, this is why I chose journalism. the course offered at Wilson College is good and helpful. I had the best of my 1 year at this college, with such fun and cool faculty members and exciting assignment, it makes you love the course even more. the faculty of Wilson College is amazing. the best thing about the college's faculty is all the teachers in our department are young and fun.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

the college used to provide internships both paid and unpaid, the biggest tie-up Wilson college had was with Times India. the college provided a 3-month unpaid internship with Times network to the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure is 20,000 per year for the general category. the people falling under the reservation category have access to scholarships and there are people who are even studying for free. you need to have the necessary documents to have access to these benefits.

Campus Life

3.5

life at Wilson College is pretty sorted, although sadly we have spent our main 2 years of college in lockdown so we couldn't enjoy that much of our college life. But the first year of college in which I lived, was no doubt very fun. In the first year, we on average had 2 fests at our college and attended approx 15-20 fests of other colleges.

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
