Remarks

I have got my admission to Andhra University via the EAMCET exam. I secured a rank of 4395. The ranks of eamcet decide which branch of engineering you can get in AU. The priority order (depending on ranks) is CSE, ECE, EEE, MECH, CIV, and CHEM. Although your interest is the main concern rather than rank. Other than EAMCET you can join Andhra University via AUEET, conducted by Andhra University itself. Application form, application fees, and application dates all will be available on the official Eamcet (now called EAPCET) Website I didn't have any reservation benefits but some of my friends get their fee money from schemes like JVD (jagananna vidya deevena) based on their family income. The admission process is good enough, So I don't want any changes majorly.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have chosen civil engineering because I am interested in irrigation and the main reason is I would like to go for government jobs like a junior engineer and assistant engineer which I thought will be easy as a civil engineer. the faculty-student ratio is good enough. For each class, there would be a professor for sure and if necessary 1 to 2 scholars will also come to guide us Qualification of the faculty is the best thing to be considered at Andhra University. Each and every professor has done their higher educations in top IITs, and other prestigious universities and their experience is off the charts Every professor in their respective period will definitely teach something related to civil engineering I would say that the teaching method is very good, and we will definitely get enough time to do our hobbies Semester exams will be conducted for every 6months Due to covid, we have semester exams every 5 months. It is quite easy to pass the exams just by reading notes given by professors.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many internship opportunities will be available to the students starting from 2nd year itself. Companies offering internships, IBM ICF Flextronics Coca-Cola colostrum group and L&T These other companies might also come to offer internships. As far as my knowledge is concerned, the stipend will be 10,000 rupees to 25000 rupees only. Projects will be given in the 8th semester which should definitely be done to get the degree.

Placement Experience

3

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Top companies like Cognizant, Accenture, IBM, Wipro, TCS, and L&T will visit for campus placements and will hire 20 to 30 students per department. The highest package would be around 8 LPA and the average package would be 3 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements will be around 70 to 75 %. After getting the degree, if I got a placement, everything is set. Otherwise, I will try jobs on the IT side and core side as well and finally will settle with a government job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual tuition fee is 10,000 rupees. For hostel accommodation (for girls), the fee is 4250/-. and mess bill (for food including breakfast, lunch, and dinner) costs 80/- per day. The 10k tuition fee remains almost constant every year and may change at a rate of 1000/- for every 2 years. Overall, the cost to study is 10,000 rupees per annum. If Scholarships like JVD (Jagananna Vidya Deevena) are applicable, a total of 10k will be paid by the government itself. And we can write other scholarship tests too which will bare most of the fees. Financial assistance can be achieved from many trusted websites. Some of My seniors got jobs of 6 LPA and others who didn't get jobs on the core side got jobs on the IT side of 5 LPA.

Campus Life

3.5

AURORA is the annual fest that includes technical contests along with many cultural events like dances, singing, and quizzes (both academic and general knowledge). DJ will also be there for the annual fest. Fests regarding our civil engineering department will be conducted in the month of September every year which include paper presentations, model making, quizzes, and poster making. Likewise, respective departments will conduct their tech fests in other months. Central Library on the South campus of Andhra University is one of the best libraries. You can find all kinds of books (also including journals, thesis, biographies, encyclopedias, and constitution books) there and can read them peacefully. The classroom and labs will have all the necessary requirements. Projectors and computers are also available. Sports will be conducted by respective departments before department day only. Extracurricular activities like teaching and learning English, and coding can be done by a social group/club named "Edumoon".

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
