Review of my college

College is pretty average. But because of it's location and almost similar name of the older and mightier college just beside it. It gets some limelight of because of that too. Very low average placement packages like 1.5-2LPA here. College management looks like they are trying to bring the college up but it will take quite some time in this.

I took UPSEE 2013 and scored 244 so took admission in this college from UPSEE counselling because it was the only air conditioned college at that time in that region. And building looked nice from outside. I took B.Tech IT as I liked IT related stuff. So engineering in it looked good option to me. Admission was direct based on UPSEE counselling and no interview was taken.

Course structure is basic like most of the college are having which are AKTU based. Almost nothing on research and development . Just normal mugging up books and writing in examinations. And by the way MBA and M.Tech has been closed already. Because no one wanted to take admission here for those courses.

Yes but non stipend ones in which you have to pay for doing internships... They are more like paid trainings named internship...

Placements here are not how they look. College like most private college lists soo many companies but there are rarely any company having offices bigger than a Room or two. And the good names you will find there, if you dig in you will know almost no one from thier is placed in those big names...

Some rare technical, cultural, management festivals are celebrated in my college in the name of freshers day or fest only. Nothing note than that. We here have very low budget of these. Somewhere like 15-20k only. Just imagine a college like that with soo low budget for festivals.

Fee structure here is one of the highest in colleges of UP and even in India. Universities are while lot different thing. But being a college which charged around 1.5 Lacs for the first year(excluding hostel and mess charges) is hefty. Now there is a need that fees will be reduced to 70k-90k per year as a rule by AKTU. Let's see what happens.

Nope nothing good in case of scholarships and loan facilities here in ABESIT. You would most probably end up paying full fees.

Campus life is pretty average with not much to do. Plus there is a Carbon company in front of college which will certainly affect your health. A multi lane highway which will pour lots of dust. Gender ratio is like 50:50 in CS/IT and like 5 females to 100 males in me mechanical and civil branches... Not much of politics here.

Hostels here are readily available to seniors but not so easy for new admissions. They try to show new comers that they are full and having a hard time giving you a room. Although they won't be full but try to show you they are overflowing. Hostels rooms are OK. Mess food is just average. At night outside of hostel is not allowed. For girls it's even more strict like they have to be in hostels before 7 P.M.

Yup seniors were quite helpful. Like my sensors were really helpful. But as you know students here are pretty average. So they have their own job finding, passing and other related issues.

Exams are now very regular. It's like every week or two you are going to have some or the other exam going on. Labs are not very frequent and mostly unnecessary as neither teacher is interested in labs nor most of the students... Everyone just thinking lab is a free period to chill out in groups...

Admission was direct based on UPSEE counselling and no interview was taken. Just some forms and some documents for verification of identity, address and all. One of the highest Fees in AKTU affiliated colleges was submitted and voila you are now an ABESITian...

When I joined college, it had good experienced IIT based faculty. But soon they were replaced by general and non experienced faculty who are passed from this college or other private colleges from surrounding because they cost less to college. Lack of experience of faculty here lead to nothing extra they'll provide you other than study material by AKTU.
