Satisfied with the Faculty and Department

Admission for Engineering in this University is through APEAMCET.Application for APEAMCET is done via APEAMCET website.Cutoff for civil engineering is 3500 for open category.6500 EWS category.Girls can get seat in this college easily cut off is more for girls quota.After getting seat in online choice filling we should approach university for seat confirmation.At the time of reporting we must submit our original TC and 3 sets of Xerox copies of all other certificates such as Aadhar card, Category certificate,etc.We have to pay college fund of ?9500 and first year fee (?10000 for our batch). We need not pay tuition fees if we are eligible for scholarship.

I'm interested in Civil Engineering,So I've chosen this course. Faculty is student friendly if we behave well with them.They will give their best to us. Mostly all professors are from IITs and they have a lot of knowledge. Educational background of professors is very good.All of them have Ph.Ds. They are from India's best Engineering Institutes so they teach very well. Faculty members are adequate enough for the students. Every semester runs approximately for 5 months .Two mid sems are conducted for every semester followed by end sem exams.We can pass exams by just studying a day before exams but it's very hard to score CGPA more than 8.

Every student must complete 2 internships in their period of study. These internships have credits.HOD suggests good opportunities for the students for their internships so that students get good experience during their internships and are industry ready.

Placements are good in AU. Highest package offered for 2022 outgoing batch is 24lpa and least package offered is 3lpa. Average package is 6lpa. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra and L&T. Nearly 50% students get campus placements and 30% students get off campus placements and 20% students opt for higher studies. I'd like to go for MTech after getting my degree.

Course fee for our batch is very less(?10000 per year). From next batch of ours course fee is ?29500 per year. We need not pay this pay this fee if we are eligible for scholarship (JVD). We get better placements if we study well here.Andhra University certificate is a very valid certificate. We are given preference in off campus placement interviews.

Life is good in AU. AURORA fest is conducted every year. This fest includes both technical and culture fest.AURORA is a national fest and many students from other engineering colleges attend for technical fest. Engineers day is celebrated every year. AU has two libraries and every book is available in the central library. Classroom infrastructure is classy and is hygienic.Sports competitions are conducted during department day celebrations and also during the College Fest.We have enough time for sports and grounds. Indoor stadium is also available for badminton and tennis. Edumoon is a startup run by AU students.

Andhra University is the oldest university in Andhra Pradesh. So hostels are not good.Rooms are provided with a bed, cupboard and a chair. Furniture provided is very old. Hostel food is average.Menu contains chicken twice a week,egg thrice . We should apply for hostel at Hostel office by writing a letter to the chief warden.
