Remarks
I took eamcet to get admission into the college. For the year 2018 cutoff declared by TKR college was around 61000. I got 26270 so I was able to get into the college through the convener quota. The admission process was quite smooth and I don't think there have to be any changes.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose to pursue EEE(Electrical and Electrical Engineering) as I wanted to work in the government sector. The syllabus was according to the university (JNTUH)guidelines also faculty members are adequate for all the subjects included in the curriculum. All the faculty members were qualified with Ph.Ds. in the particular core subjects and coming to teaching it was engaging. Tests were conducted after the completion of each unit although it was difficult to pass but were very helpful for our semester exam preparation.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offered internships for freshers starting from our 4_1 semester. We had the opportunity to apply for companies that we had preferred and are of interest to. Most internships had a duration of around 6-8 months stipend was 10-20k.
Placement Experience
We started applying for jobs from our 6th semester as instructed by our placement officer. Many companies like Wipro, Capgemini, and TCS, also technical companies like Medha servo, kreeti technology visited our college offering placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee that I paid at the time of joining was around 50k (as I was not eligible for a scholarship) and there is no fee hike after once you've joined although there is a hike every year(applicable for students joining after the hike). The scholarship is applicable for all and would pay only around 20‰ of the fee. I got placed in a company with a package of 3.5 LPA.
Campus Life
Campus Life was unique with events. College annual day, traditional day, and Shiznay also tech fest are held for 3 days every year. These are the most awaited days for all students. All the students are supported to take part in them. The rooms, library, and labs have all facilities. Annual sports meet is also held and winning teams are also awarded.
Hostel Facilities
I was a day scholar. But the hostel was good with all facilities and got to know from some of my friends that the food was also good. All the required facilities were provided for hostelers. The security was also good as it was inside the college compound.
