Not everything that glitters is gold !

The college management is moody and generally on a whole, BAD! College is good as in private colleges, you'll really enjoy studying here and getting different exposure and coming across people of various states. But you ll miss home, for sure

I took various examinations including the newly introduced JEE MAINS scoring 155. But due to just 83% in CBSE, I was sure not to get any good institute with that rank. So gave, VITEEE, got a very below average rank and got into the institute. YES !! Whatever is your rank in VITEEE, you'll get a course you want, but the fee structure would be different for you. VERY DIFFERENT !!

Okay, it's hard to admit but yeah, the course curriculum is way better/updated than other colleges around the country. They constantly update their curriculum and it ll be safe to say that the curriculum will probably be the most updated one in the country,

Honestly, but I guess many would go against me for saying this, BUT NO !! I am not sure about any internship offers that the college can provide you. PS- Getting an internship to 5 students out of 800 is does not count.

Placements are superb. The placements cell is very helpful in providing clear information to the students about the companies coming into the campus. But again, with the big strength of the college, it's very hard to get a decent one unless and until you are the cream layer.

Okay, but hats off to my colleagues in this regard. Celebrates all festivals, manages a grand celebrity-studded cultural fest (Riviera) apart from 2-3 more fests. Celebration of various days of different regions, Like Haryana day, Maharashtra day, etc, etc

DEPENDS !! The online shown fee structure is only applicable for the people falling in good ranking lists of VITEEE. Like I mentioned before, with a rank of around 80k, you can get CSE for around 5lakh-6lakh per year. SO yeah, it all depends on the VITEEE exam which according to me does not give genuine results. (i might be wrong here)

A good rank in VITEEE, you get a scholarship, Not sure of how much but yeah you can. Also if you're a branch topper, you get some scholarship.

Campus life, well, there is nothing in Vellore to go out and enjoy. Basically, you are stuck in the city for four years. But you can always go to Pondicherry (three hours), Chennai (2.5) or Bangalore (5-6) You can play almost every sport here, except rugby and baseball and stuff :P BUT YEAH, READ THIS CAREFULLY, YOU CANNOT HANGOUT WITH GIRLS IN THIS COLLEGE (For girls, it's boys ;P). Because you'll get caught and you'll end up paying fines.

Again, these are the things in which VIT is far far far better than other colleges, even though you have to again fight for an AC room from 3rd semester onward because it depends on your CGPA. Haha. Yeah, you are a topper, you get to choose your roommates and your type of room. If you're not, then get hold of a topper, simple !!!!

Yeah. very, Another good part of this college, seniors are not like seniors, No ragging scenes, no showcase of power nothing from seniors. Helpful people. But yeah, there is a little groupism shown by people from various states. But I guess it's natural.

The exam structure is very hectic, VERY VERY hectic. After a month into the semester, you are accessed almost weekly and the sad part, these marks are directly included in your internals. A brief summary- 5marker quizzes*3=15 5marker assignment*1=5 50 marker internals which are scaled down to 15*2=30 These are your internal marks=50 Rest 50 marks come from your final term end exam (100 scaled down to 50)

With a very below "average rank", you can walk in straight to the college without any hesitation. They'll tell you it won't be possible for you to get admission with the regular fee structure but later on they will give an introduction about the changed fee structure for different ranks. For example- with a rank of around 80k, you can get CSE for around 5lakh-6lakh per year!

You ll find all sorts of faculties here, BELIEVE ME, whatever kind you can imagine, you'll find here !!! Be it the one teacher who cracks awesome jokes, to the one who can screw you up literally for nothing. But the best part, you can choose your own faculties through an online process at the start of each semester, but lemme tell you straight, it's more of war because everyone knows about the best faculties. So with good internet speed and luck on your side, you can get decent ones.
