Remarks
The eligibility for the course is not high and there is no entrance exam. You can find the application form on the college's official website https://gehu.ac.in Graphic Era Hill University. If you are from Uttarakhand you'll get a huge discount and similarly on basis of score in 12 and if you belong to army background and there is a special discount for girl students.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose bjmc because I was always a public speaker and my teacher here helped me to get better at it by doing a no of events in the university. Teachers are so supportive and understanding and give guidance at every step for moving ahead in life. Most teachers are PhD and some are post-graduated. Term exams are in every 3 months and it depends on your study that will you be able to solve the exam or not.
Internships Opportunities
There are a number of internships offered even some are offered in the university itself. A journalism and mass communication student internship in event management,pr, writing, editing, videography, photography, anchoring, and many more are offered.
Placement Experience
From 5-6 semesters students become eligible for placements depending on different courses. 5-10 companies visit the journalism department and almost 50-60 offers are made. The highest package was 20 lakh and the average package is 5 lakh. Almost 70% of students get placed. I am planning on doing post-graduation after this.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course total fee for one year is approx 1 lakh 25 thousand but there is a no of scholarships you can enjoy like girls scholarship, domicile of Uttarakhand scholarship, defense personnel scholarship and percentage scholarship.
Campus Life
Every year the grafest takes place which is the largest fest and many other fests keep taking place on the campus. The Library is large enough and you can get almost every book there. The classroom includes a whiteboard and a smartboard ac with good sitting for almost 100-150 students along with it the campus includes different sports like basketball ground badminton court table tennis court and a court for indoor activities. There are a no of clubs in which you can participate.
