The eligibility for the CSE course at chitkara University requires a good percentage in boards (around 80 and above) and the candidate should have given jee, although the percentile or the rank in here does not matter. The application form can be found on the website of the university or you can call the university to confirm the details. The application fees are not very high as such. I was not eligible for any kind of reservation but there are many which can be found on the website of University. The admission process is very easy and does not take much time, also the staff is really supportive.

I had an interest in computer science and also the peer pressure of engineering took me to CSE. The faculty-to-student ratio is fine, there are around 60-80 students in one class, the faculty is qualified and have a good experience, and the teachers are always ready to help and are supportive. The exams are held according to schedule but there are tons of exams which just exhaust a student. Although it is not very difficult to pass in the exam, if you study for around 2 hours every day you can get very good marks.

I am in the 3rd semester for now and so I have not received any internship opportunities but you get a lot of internship opportunities in the 3rd year starting a si have known from my seniors. You will get many projects which will give you scores.

The students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester i.e. end of the third year. Almost all the companies visit here but most companies are mass recruiters so the package is not very high, although it depends on your skills. The statistics for the 2022 drive are not released yet. However, the NIRF report 2022 is out, according to which 1,597 UG and 739 PG students were placed during Chitkara University placements 2021. The median package offered to UG students ranged between INR 3.10 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA. For PG programmes, the median package was between INR 6.30 LPA and INR 8 LPA.

The fees for the CSE department are 82000 per semester for now. There was no scholarship for my batch. The hostel fee is around 110000 and there is around a 10% hike in hostel fees every year. Overall the cost to study here is 12 lakh approx which includes college fees, hostel fees, chalkpad access, mess and laundry.

The life at the campus is really very cool. You would meet students from different states in India Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal, Bengal, even Mumbai and almost all the states. The campus is not very huge but is really well maintained and very pretty. There are sports, restaurants, a library and much more to spend your evening with your friends. You can skill up yourself by meeting students with different backgrounds. The library has a really good collection of books. The classrooms are fully ac and have projectors in them. The benches are also fine. The sports are great basketball, volleyball, football, badminton, etc..basically every sport you love you can enjoy here. There are many clubs you can join to keep yourself engaged, also many hackathons are organised which have good prize money. Comedy shows, DJ nights and many more, basically campus life or I should say hostel Life is absolutely amazing here.

Most of the rooms are 4 sharing that provide you with a bed, almirah, study table and chair. There are 3 sharing and single rooms as well. The meal is good as compared to other universities. Hostels registration is very easy for you can contact the university and obviously hostel Life is great here
