Remarks

I am in sister Nivedita University under techno India in the field of bachelor in science in agriculture. There were all facilities available and all the teachers are highly educated from BCKV and IIT KHARAGPUR. weekly we have 6,7 classes of field practicals. And available lab work is also done here. The infrastructure of this campus is very big.

Agriculture is 4 years degree course and there is a single teacher in every subject and some subjects have two teachers. Almost 12 teachers were on the faculty. All were highly qualified and comes from great universities.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee structure is 3.52lac in 4 years. Yes, there is a scholarship available but for Those who have permanent residence in West Bengal. And many other scholarships like SWAMI VIVEKANAND SCHOLARSHIP.

Campus Life

The campus of SNU is too large and highly developed infrastructure. It consists of almost all departments and really we are enjoying our campus life but there is an overload of practicals. It's too much time to deal with it.

Placement Experience:

In my University they provide us to seat for the interview of those recruiting companies after 3rd semester online so this is a great opportunity for us to have an experience event because if we read for 4 year course after 1 and half year only we are getting chance to say for the interview and the companies here comes for recruitment are very renowned companies companies like Flipkart Amazon Myntra and many others TCS consultancy they always to visit for recrating so I will suggest that the placement provide by the university is good and 75 to 80% of student getting successfully placed from the university into good companies and with an average salary of 6 lpa to 9lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

Insights of SNU

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
