College can be taken up to peak of success by management and staff needs to change mindset for students. They think students are not eligible to get high paid jobs or good salary. Top management of college needs to be change periodically.

AIEEE I scored 26846 Rank in AIEEE and got this college in 2nd counselling. There is no separate interview.

Yes.. this course is for those who want to research in the Carpet lines. As college is made to promote caeper industry in India, there are various topic on which felowship programs goes on. Also one can choose GATE exam to go into MTech and then move upto PhD.

No our college doesnot provide internship, however some training courses are regulated by college like deaigning, computers, dyeing etc..

In my batch all Batchmate were placed, though placement level is not that high. Primary requisite is to get job there, regardless of what salary companied are paying. As this industry doesnt require engineers much, low salary is getting paid to textile engineers compared to other branches.

Some technical workshop are organised on quarterly to educate students and outsiders Annual day is being peformed every 1st November by students and a IICT students welfare committee. There are many research conference and seminars organised periodically.

Curently its approx 75000 per year including hostel fee. Mess fee is being paid separetely. This is not expensive compared to other engineering college across country. Looking at the type of course fee is fine. College is increasinf fee year by year.

Yes, from differenr states scholarship are beinf provided to students for ST SC and OBC candidates. There is no scholarship from college but college helps student to get scholarship from respective states.

Campus life is awesome, though campus is not that large but its maintained. Gender ration is 80/20 as engineering courses have less no. Of girls. There is no any kind of sexual orientation, no racism. However sometimes students and teachers united agaist a specific community or a state students. Sometime it gets politicised.

Hostels are not being maintained timely, hostels need renovation with new facilities. Cleaning and painting needs improvement. Mess food is okay but not so hygenic. Mess present condition also not upto the mark. Mess tenders are not being provided to exprerts.

Yes, an alumni committe works for students who help studnets to get placements and jobs. Alumni also sponsor an yearly function in colle and aspire them to achieve their goals.

Exams are lab test are being carried out every month on college level than semester exams takes place bianually. Semester exams were required high attention compared to internals. Lab marks are added in the final marksheet so separre classes and lab training are being provided.

First apprear for AIEEE which is JEE Prelimenery currently. Then during counselling you can choose from all colleges based on your ranking and reservarion criteria. I filled form in december then got admit card by february for exam in april. CBSE conducted this exam with the help of NITs of each states.

Faculty is experienced but monopoly exists there as director of college is west Bengal and most of the faculty are selected frok same regions only. There should be movement from faculty from other colleges also so that there remains a competition and new ness in teaching method.
