A College for a Bright Future

All the IITs take admission through a score of JEE advance. My JEE advance rank was 5302 and I got Chemical Engineering at IIT Hyderabad in the Counselling process. JOSAA organizes the counselling process and there were & rounds of it. After you are allocated the college and the streams as per your priority and rank you have to reach the college on the given date for verification of your original documents and you will be allocated the hostel (if required) and you can start your college journey from there.

I had chosen the Chemical Engineering branch because I had some interest in this side, and of course, not everyone got CSE. The faculty at the college are very supportive and knowledgeable. Most of the faculty are highly educated and completed their PhD from reputed universities. The exams at the college follow a fractal curriculum which means the courses can have short quizzes or 1-2 exams and any time of the semester.

The college also offers a lot of internship opportunities. Every big tech company visit our college for the students seeking to work with them. The hiring process is the same as Placements but with a stipend. The highest stipend offer was 2 lakhs for a 2 months internship. To grab an internship, you definitely need a good resume with some good projects.

The Placement season starts in August every year. Students have to register on the portal and prepare their Master CV which includes every detail. Then companies start their visit from last August or starting September. If you are eligible for the company, then you can apply and start the process of hiring. The hiring process mainly includes an Online screening test, a few rounds of interviews and finally, the offer. In 2022, the top companies visited are Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, Adobe etc. Almost 95% of students got the placement with an average CTC of 21 LPA and with the highest being 65 LPA.

The fees at the institute are around 200000 per year for a student from the General category, but there are reservation benefits for the SC/ST and EWS students, which are almost NIL for these students. The placements are very good at the college, In 2022, almost 95% of the students got placed with an average CTC of 21 LPA.

In IITs, students come from all over India so there is diversity there but students are very friendly. They mostly do not differentiate people on the basis of language or origin. The college has every facility such as Library, sports playgrounds, swimming pools, and research parks and construction is going on at every moment. There are a lot of clubs and groups which help students to enrich their skills and their hobbies.

The hostels are very well constructed. There is a single-room accommodation for every student, and the floor is divided into four pods with 8 rooms each. There is a big mess with the accommodation of 1000 students at a time and the quality of the food is ok in my opinion. The hostel and mess fees are charged around 33000 rupees per semester and are to be paid before the semester start.
