Remarks

BSc in zoology with botany, chemistry or biochemistry as a subsidiary subject with a minimum of 55% mark. Will have an entrance test, "CUCET" for all the central universities. Questions are totally from the degree syllabus only. Once the exam is over they will notify us whether we are qualified for admission or not. Then they called us according to the rank basis for document verification. All the details about the application form, fee structure etc will be available on their website. Reservation benefits are there in the hostel. All the fees we paid will be returned within 1 week. Overall campus, hostel facilities, teachers, staff, and library everything is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The syllabus covers almost all the topics that are important for a pg student. It's a bit tough for the sometimes but books from the library contain all the books that can help students to learn deeply about the topics The faculties are really outstanding. They are always so kind and helpful. They cover the whole syllabus within time and were ready to repeat the portions again and again. They never pressurize or insulted students. There have associate professors, assistant professors, and guest lectures. Semester exams are not so easy but if you are ready to learn a topic to its depth then you can score a good mark.

Fees and Financial Aid

1000 or 2000 will be higher compared to other courses because science departments have laboratories. The fee structure is better because they have outstanding professors, good laboratories, perfect equipment and instruments, a library with all types of books, a pleasant campus atmosphere, and free Wi-Fi in both campus and hostel.

Campus Life

5

They celebrated important national and international days, and conduct programs online and offline. University art fest will be conducted once a year, due to the students from all the state studying there, the art fest is like a visual treat to everyone. We can experience beautiful cultural activities from different states. Both on-stage and off-stage competitions will be there. It always helps the students to present their talent. Yoga and sports like physical activities are available. A club like NSS is actively engaged in every area.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel is good and has rooms with large spaces. Only 2 students are there in a room. Each has their own bed table, chair cupboard etc. The bathrooms are always neat and clean. They clean the hostel regularly. The mess and kitchen area are also neat. The food quality is nice. Some items are not so tasty but still better than many other hostels. Fees are affordable and the registration process is easy and done at the time of admission itself. Have Wi-Fi facilities for free. Cultural activities are also there in the hostel.

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
