You can be an efficient Psychology professional with the guidance of SDM Psychology department.

For getting Msc Clinical and counselling admission, we have to attend an interview conducted by the department. Anyone who has completed a BSc/ BA in psychology, or any other undergraduate degree can apply for this course. We will get the application form and other required forms from the office of SDM PG college. There are reservations for the seat. The total number of seats is 40. Students are selected through interviews.

The course is for 2 years. The department has efficient professors who have PhD in psychology to guide students. Students will get immense practical exposure in the field. There will be 4 semesters, 2 internal exams and one Semester exam will be in each semester. So many seminars, workshops, field visits and presentations will be there in each semester.

The internship program will be there during each semester break, where students can select companies according to the requirement. Weekly field works and training programs will be conducted by the department in each semester.

From the 3rd Semester end onwards, campus recruitments will be started. Various companies will recruit students into various fields. The average package starts from 20k. Rotary career guidance& placement cell will help students to get placement through various training programs.

For studying Msc Psychology, around 1 lakh can be total expenses including sem fee, hostel fee etc. There are scholarships on different criteria. More details will get from the office itself. Special consideration will be given to students with student loans.

Campus life here has art & cultural programs(SDM Kalavaibhava, yakshagana, drama, music, dance), extracurricular activities (NCC-NAVY, NSS, Rovers& Rangers), E- resource, Community radio, Multimedia studio, Natural Resources study centre, Sports, Arboretum, Language lab and booth, and Student Clubs etc. There are two libraries as well as e-resources which students can access easily. Advanced classrooms and AV rooms have wifi. Students have respected clubs and groups where they can mingle.

Accommodations for boys and girls are there near the college campus. Two, three and four-bed sharing rooms are available. Two bedrooms have attached bathrooms, others have multiple common bathrooms on each floor. The hostel mess provides neat vegetarian food to the students. The fee for the hostel can be paid yearly, mess bill will be paid on a monthly basis.
