Remarks
First of all location of the college is absolutely superb it is situated near the famous society Kakadeo in Kanpur. The college infrastructure that is expected from Government College is ok. The workshops are Good and the Staff faculty is also Good in nature and helping. Hostels are not provided by the college because of metro Work. College provides us with a good and green environment. In the final year, students also go on training purposes for different location sites. An annual fest named "Umang" has been celebrated here. A dress code has been applied for both Boys and Girls that's a good thing. It is compulsory for all students.
Course Curriculum Overview
Semester exams were easy to pass, not difficult. It's difficult for those who were not attending class regularly. The faculty in our civil department was very helpful in nature. Mr. Peeyush Kumar Malviyy HOD of the Civil department very good-natured person.
Internships Opportunities
I got a summer training project last year. In this project, we all have been appointed to different Construction sites. I have appointed Pradhanmantri Avas Vikas Yojana Pangi Kanpur. It's a month's Training. I also got a training opportunity in sugar factories in different cities in Uttar Pradesh.
Placement Experience
I am planning to further higher studies. I have planned for pursuing a Btech degree From the reputed University Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow. I got admission to the Institute of Engineering and Technology IET Lucknow.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have got UP government scholarship only there is no Financial assistance provided by the campus. Though In our class 8 students got on-campus placement in LnT infrastructure limited. A girl student got off off-campus placement at JP cement limited.
Campus Life
Yes, there are many Facebook groups and Instagram pages that are run by students. Some of them are GPK and "GPK alumni" Government Polytechnic Kanpur. Also, there are many WhatsApp groups for each branch. Students also get different cultural activities done and also various clubs for entertainment.
