Remarks

Couse is eligible for 12th pass out. You will find the application form on the college website. There is no application fee you can just apply for free of course by filling out the form. Reservation is available for only people of west Bengal. College is good. Teachers are supportive they are helpful. College unions are also helpful. Colleges take lots of seminars and also give placement. The college has 2 campuses one at College Street and 2nd at Salt lake. The main campus(College street) is not so good in respect of infrastructure but still, it is very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose B.Com Hons as I m from a commerce background and pursuing CA. Faculty are also so good they are so professional and almost all teachers have their Ph.D. degrees. Exams are taken every 6months. Some viva project works are also given by them.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is around 5000 per annum. Scholarships which are available at National Scholarships portal can be availed also for West Bengal citezen they have Vivekananda Scholarships and also some scholarships by colleges itself for the poor class of people.

Campus Life

The annual fest is done by the college in the Month of March as a Holi Celebration and the loss of tech fest happens frequently. The classroom is not so good it is around okay. In our college, we have an indoor game room. There happens a lot of competition in indoor and outdoor games.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
