IIM Calcutta Review

I took the CAT exam to get admission into IIM Calcutta. Eligibility- Candidates who have completed any Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with aggregated 50% marks or a Final year student. You can find the application form on the website - iimcat.ac.in The application fee for CAT 2022 was Rs. 2300, and the application dates were from 3rd August 2022 to 21st September 2022. The admission process is so transparent and well organized so I don't see any improvement in the admission process.

I have been a finance enthusiast since my initial college days after doing some projects, I found finance very interesting, and IIM Calcutta is known for finance. Apart from that, the student body at IIMC is active and energetic. These students come from a range of educational and occupational backgrounds. So you get to learn a lot from the experience of a diverse range of students. Faculty: Student ratio = 1:25 Qualification of the Faculty - MBA, Ph. D. Teaching method - The teaching method of faculty is case extensive. Case-based teaching is followed by all the faculty members. Case studies are used throughout the program to give insight to the students about social, economic, or business scenarios.

There is no such fee hike policy. The cost to study was 23 Lakhs for the program that will pass out in the year 2023, and fees for students who will pass out in the year 2024 are 25 lakhs. Need-based financial assistance is provided to students whose family annual income is less than 8 Lakhs. There are a lot of job opportunities for the students, and we have a track record of 100% placement.

7 Lakes Fest is the annual fest of IIM Calcutta. This fest is organized in November every year. We never face the unavailability of any book or journal because we have a very good library collection of books and journals. IIM C has a well-stocked library. If in case, we don't find any book or journal in the library, then we can access that book or journal in digital form on the library's portal. Amenities in classrooms - Classrooms are well-spaced, and all the classrooms are fully air-conditioned and well-maintained with state-of-the-art technology. Sports and extracurricular activities: Modern multi-court sports areas and a world-class gym exist. There are more than 40 clubs for extracurricular activities. Apart from a hectic study schedule, students participate in many extracurricular activities organized by these clubs. Clubs: Finance, Marketing, Consulting, Operations, Prodman, Hues, Chorea, Drams, Debate, etc.

Individual rooms are provided to the students in the room. Meals are provided of good quality, and meals consist of a mix of north Indian and south Indian. As it is a residential program, so everyone needs to register for the hostel with admission, and hostel fees are included in the college fees.
