Remarks
JEE Mains is the entrance exam for this college. First, we should apply for the exam and then appear in the JoSSA counseling. Yes, reservation is present in our college as per the Government of India. Application form for JEE mains is released by NTA every year on their website of JEE mains.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it provides an opportunity to take a placement in core and tech companies both. As EEE includes DSA in the curriculum which provides us an edge over other branch students during placement. Faculty are highly qualified from different renowned colleges across the globe. End sem exams are conducted based on the academic calender released after every semester.
Internships Opportunities
This year till now 200+ companies had offered internships to students. The stipends provided were very good. In some profiles, projects are required during an internship interview. But mostly they don't ask for it. DSA is sufficient to take good internships.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good for NITW. This year more then 800 offers had been made by different companies till now (600+ placements and 200+ internships). Last year the highest package of our college was 62.5LPA and the average package was 13LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees of our college are very nominal similar to all other NIT. Many scholarship schemes are available in our college. Financial assistance is also provided by the college based on merit.
Campus Life
Every college conducts a cultural fest known as Spring spree and a tech-fest known as Tehnozion. The fests at our college are amazing. Books and journals are available in the library. Our college also has a digital library.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are very good. We have 1.8k (Asia's 2nd largest hostel) and 1k hostel on our college campus. Mess food is of okayish type. mess food needs to improve. Registration is done when student report to the college in offline mode.
