Remarks

The admission process is simple. Application forms can be found on the official website of the University- www.sbu.ac.in. Eligibility is to successfully pass the class 12th examination. Application fees were Rs 1000.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum for B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering includes courses from other engineering branches especially in the first year, like any other engineering college. The faculties are good. The number of faculties is less and few teachers teach multiple subjects. 4 exams in a year- 2 mid-semester exams and 2-semester exams. Exams are conducted internally.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are provided but mostly by startup companies. Many of them are non-paid internships. Opportunities are maximum for computer science students than other branches of BTech. The placement cell sends us the open internship positions available on the internet instead of bringing the companies (they do bring the companies but not all the time). Projects are compulsory in the 3rd and 4th years.

Placement Experience

For B.Tech, internships are done in the 3rd year and placements are provided in the 4th year. Placements are provided but do not meet the expectations and students look for off-campus to get into good companies. The average package for B.Tech is 4 LPA. 88% of students were placed. My plan is to get into some highly reputed company with a high salary which I would look for off-campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is approximately 50000 per semester (excluding hostel and bus fees). Scholarships are available on the basis of board exam results. E-Kalyan scholarship can also be availed by Jharkhand residentials. Placement is provided but does not meet the expectations, most of the students look for off-campus if want jobs or internships in good companies.

Campus Life

The annual sport "Umang" is conducted every year in the month of February. Books are available in the library. Sports and extracurricular activities are conducted on campus. There are different clubs like SBU Shutterbugs for photography, SBU Literary Club, Coding Club, Akar Club, Fine Arts Club, etc. run by the students of SBU.

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. Placement Experience:

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass
