Remarks

I took admission in 2021 at that time there was a separate exam for GGV known as Viswavidyalay Entrance Test (VET) but now one has to appear and qualify for the CUET test. For VET all admission-related info, admission form, admission fee etc were available on GGV's official website but after the CUET exam came one can get all information on the NTA website. Reservation benefits are available at the time of admission seats are reserved for all categories like OBC, ST, SC, PWD and EWS. The scholarship is also available for reserved categories you can choose either the Chhattisgarh state government scholarship or National Scholarship. After the entrance exam is conducted by NTA I don't think any improvement is required.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I'm interested in the research of any kind and botany is the one where research activities are not so restricted so it attracted me. Faculty students ratio is approximately 60:2. All faculty are highly qualified as it is the only central university in Chhattisgarh. Term exams are quite delayed as compared to the schedule which was applied before the Covid crisis but the university had tried to put it again on schedule and even they are able to do so. Exams are not so tough if you prepare for them. Passing marks for theory is 40 out of 100 and for practical it is 50 out of 100

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are semester-based where you have to pay 7000 Rs for 1st semester and then fees of approximately 3000 Rs per semester for the other five-semester. No other extra fee is required throughout the semesters. You can get a Chhattisgarh state government scholarship if you are in categories like OBC, ST, SC or PWD. You can also get National Scholarship if you are either in the above category or In the EWS category. Campus selection is not done for any department except B.Tech. If you are preparing for UPSC you will get an advantage in posts in the forest department.

Campus Life

Fests and other curricular activities are impressive at the university. Each year a tech fest is celebrated at our university. There is a food fest too. There are lots of fests celebrated which can't be listed there are a total of 38 departments in GGV which conduct fests for the whole college so you can always get something of your interest too. For sports, there is a big playground where for each type of game like football cricket badminton basketball etc separate coats or grounds are available. Sports are played on the department level college level and state level too. For musicians and singers, a group Tarang is present there and a magazine is also printed yearly known umang both of these are completely students group.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of anthropology is very much connected to our human lives which I like to know more about and which influenced me choose this as my graduation course. We study biological , social and cultural, archaeological, and linguistic aspects of humans and thus do a holistic study of human which is very interesting. The toughness exams are of medium level The frequency and timing of exams is good like in every month we have internals and then after a month we have semester exams . So it's good that we are connected to studies and passing exams becomes easy.

I choosed Bachelor of Science in Mathematics as I am from Mathematics Background. I studied in first shift from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. As exam is concerned there is no headache of passing exam because it's an autonomous college so the college easily passed almost all the students. The faculty were teaching well but it needs to improve in their quality of teaching.
