JEE MAINS (with good rank) is required to get admission to UIET which is a south campus of Panjab University. The campus has a very great placement. In 2022 highest package is 45 lakhs (on campus) and 50 lakh (off campus).
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose to BE in ECE because I have an interest in electronics and UIET, PU has great placements. The faculty in this department is very cool and chill. Everyone can do coding easily because of the college environment but the end-semester exam is very difficult. You should have to prepare for it.
Internships Opportunities
UIET, PU gives internships in their research programs to students and it is a very great opportunity because in India there are few universities that can give internship programs in their research labs. There is a lot of project of the Haryana govt and Punjab govt under Panjab university which is handled by the UIET department.
Placement Experience
The placement of UIET is very good. In 2022, the highest package is 45 lakh (on campus) and 50 lakh(off campus). The overall average package is 7 lakh(all departments). If you can't get placement on campus then you can apply for off-campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fee for 1 year is around 1,10,000. There is some scholarship based on category ( SC, EWS) and for merit students and some other special scholarship which is very beneficial for students. The total fee for a complete course is 4,40,000(approx)
Campus Life
The fest of UIET is not great as PEC. UIET is under Panjab university so you can use any library for your study. The central library of PU is very excellent(AC JOSHI LIBRARY). The facilities in the library are very great. PU has very good at sports.
