Entrance Preview

I faced CGPAT for admission in agriculture college. It seemed a good option to me after medical as I'm a biology student.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

College is nice, has good infrastructure and really good faculty. Every department has professors who have excellent academic records. Teaching and notes providing is aptly done. Students are provided with laboratory facilities. There are overall about 52 subjects that every student has to deal with in the whole 4 year course.

Internships Opportunities

Currently I'm in third year so I don't have any knowledge about internships or stipend offered. Although I know that the 7th semester is RAWE (Rural Agricultural Work Experience).

Placement Experience

3.5

As I already told I've no idea about placements. But nowadays many companies and even banks are demanding agriculture graduates.

College Events

3.5

Every year a cultural fest known as 'Madai' is celebrated in the month of November. Sports events are carried out throughout the year and participents get chance to play in national games too. Except this various quizzes and art competitions are conducted throughout the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a government college therefore the fee is very nominal. No semester fee exceeds Rs. 8000 which is really very less as compared to the private colleges who take about 40000-50000 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't have any idea about loans. But talking about my own experience, I've availed scholarship of 4,500/- for being in top 5 in the first year.

Campus Life

4

Both girls and boys actively take admission here. Talking about politics, elections are conducted every year. Every religion is given equal importance. Being a government college students of every economic group are studying here.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facility is provided separately for both girls and boys. Mess provides 3 time meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Quality of food is the same as of any other mess.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a good alumni network and there is an association of all India agricultural students. Seniors help us and there is a good relationship between juniors and seniors.

Exam Structure

Well, since there are about 8-10 subjects every semester, so one can understand that the theory, practical and assignments are quite hectic. Although the subjects are pretty easy and clearing them is very easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of anthropology is very much connected to our human lives which I like to know more about and which influenced me choose this as my graduation course. We study biological , social and cultural, archaeological, and linguistic aspects of humans and thus do a holistic study of human which is very interesting. The toughness exams are of medium level The frequency and timing of exams is good like in every month we have internals and then after a month we have semester exams . So it's good that we are connected to studies and passing exams becomes easy.

I choosed Bachelor of Science in Mathematics as I am from Mathematics Background. I studied in first shift from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. As exam is concerned there is no headache of passing exam because it's an autonomous college so the college easily passed almost all the students. The faculty were teaching well but it needs to improve in their quality of teaching.
