Life in IIT Jodhpur

Admission to the IIT is done by Jee advance exam, in my time covid situation was going on, and after giving the exam, we verify our documents online, else you need to visit the nearest IIT, Reservation facilities are available based on the case, due to ST candidate I was able to get admission in IIT, Fees of Jossa counselling in my case was about 15000, for rest of candidate it was 25000, Course was given based on rank, we get in Jee advance exam

I am a chemical engineer, I have an interest in nuclear science so I opted for this course, Faculty at IIT Jodhpur is quite good, they are ready to help a lot, ratio of boys and girls is near about 3:10 since it is IIT, faculty are well qualified in their field, at least every faculty have P.hD degree from renowned colleges, some faculty did their PhD in foreign as well, Exam was taken in once in 45 days, but the quiz is taken usually in 2 weeks, synchronous learning is going on with the assignment and lab component, exam is a little bit tough, but easy to pass

Internship opportunity comes in 3rd Year at IIT Jodhpur, Companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, Newzera, American Express, Jio etc. comes for an internship they took around 140 students, and they mainly offer intern for SDE Job, Some companies also come for Finance Sector as well as for data Analytics

placement eligibility comes in 4th year. There are some well-known companies are coming to our campus like Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Wipro, Adobe etc. The highest package for the year 2022 is 52 lakh now, and the average package is around 17Lakh, about 82% of students get placed, I will purse placement and after my degree, I want to work corporate sector.

Fess is quite high in IIT, it costs around 117000/yr, scholarship is also available in the NSP portal, as well as college give remission to that student who has proper documentation for income below than 4Lakh or has some cast or other benefit they were free from tuition fees, apart from it there is a bank in every IIT so you can take a loan from there.

The annual fest name IGNUS happens every year, it is a cultural fest. Apart from its techfest name 'PROMETEO' sports fest named 'Varchas' takes place in the months of January and November. Our college library has about 1.5Lakh books, in the form of soft copy and hard copy; classrooms are modern with well furnished and other equipments like a projector and smart board are also available, There are quite good facilities for sports, for extracurricular activities, there are so many clubs, run by the student. The hostel infrastructure is quite good, Room provides with Table, chair, wall fan, bed, AC and proper lights, Mess is good, but the taste is average, mess menu has a lot of items, if you get bored by the mess menu there are cafe and canteen in College, the Registration process is quite simple just need to submit google form, hostel is affordable with a charge of 7000/sem, rented room service are not available in near IIT Jodhpur since it is far away from the city
