For you to be eligible for applying in this course is that you must have scored above 65% in your intermediate after that you need to fill out the form of NCHM-CT which you will find on their official website. The application fee for general caste is 1000 after that a date will be announced for your exam and you will get an exam centre then after a few weeks the answer key will be declared and again after a few weeks you will get your result which contains your rank, I got AIR 56 so luckily I got the seat in one of the best hotel management college which is Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa. The cutoff generally for the General caste is from one to two hundred or two hundred and fifty.

I chose this course as I was really interested in cooking and wanted to take it as my career. The faculty-student ratio is 1:100. Basically the course consists of major four departments that are, Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Housekeeping, and Front Office. You will also study some extra subjects such as Nutrition, Hotel Engineering, Accounts etc. The faculty working here are the best as compared to the rest of the colleges and their way of teaching is also unique such that any student will easily understand. The exams will be conducted after every semester that is after every six months.

Internship interviews start after 1st semester. All the big hotels will come for the interviews. The intership is for four months. You will work in each department for a one-one month. The stipend is not constant. It varies from 1000-7000 per month depending upon the hotel. In the kitchen you will work as a kitchen helper, in the front office, you have to do the back office work, in the food and beverage service you need to work in the restaurant, in the housekeeping you have to work in the hotel rooms and floors. These four months will be hard for you as you have to do things which you have never done before.

After your fifth semester is completed hotels and company starts coming to the college for campus placement. All the top hotels and companies will come for the campus placement. So you just be calm as you are in the number 1 college in India. The highest package which went the previous year was 8.5L per annum. The average package is 3L per annum. Mostly 100% of the students get the placement so no need to worry about your job. My plans after doing this course are that I want to work as a chef and then after a few years, I want to start on my own.

I am from the 2021-24 batch. My overall fee is Rs. 400400. I took a hostel in my 1st year so the hostel fee was 67500 of which 5000 was refundable. You can avail of the scholarship. There are many central and state government programs in which you can enrol. One of the best scholarship programs is given by National Scholarship Program, so if you have a good rank then you can apply for this scholarship. It is hard for the general category to get a scholarship but students having a reservation quota can get it. The fee hike is not too high.

The campus is not so big but you will enjoy your college life as this college is surrounded by trees so you will not feel like you are studying in a noise full environment. You will have every amenity and machine for your practicals in the college. If you are in a hostel then you can play volleyball as there is a volleyball court and extracurricular activities are also performed in the college. There are many groups made in the college like Kaladhar for street play and drama, Vakta if you have good speaking skills, Panchtatva if you are good at dance, and Asavri if you are good at music.

You will get a hostel according to the ranks so lucking I got the hostel. I paid Rs 67500 for my hostel in which I got a triple sitter room. In the hostel, you will get 3-time food and you will also get the facility of laundry. There is a volleyball court in the hostel. The boys here are really obsessed with playing volleyball. There is a strict timing for girls but boys can be out from 6 in the morning to 9 in the night while girls can only go out till 6:00 PM
