Remarks
The NIMCET exam and NIT MCA common Entrance test is the only criterion for getting NIT for MCA, and JEE mains for getting admitted into Btech course. The application form for MCA was released in April, and the form costs 3000. The admission process is quite smooth and the result will be declared after 10 days of the exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
Almost All subjects are covered in six semesters, faculties are highly educated and you can also contact the faculty for doubts in their cabins. All faculties qualifications are Btech+Mtech and some did Ph.D. also Exams are conducted twice every 6 months and are not very difficult, most of the questions come from previous years
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Amazon, D Shaw, Samsung, and Deloitte, provides Internship offer with an average stipend of 20-25000 and Amazon provides Internship with a stipend of 80000 per month. A project which is related to the real world is preferred more by the company. Apart from DSA, projects in Website development, Android development, and artificial intelligence are chosen by students.
Placement Experience
If you are a Btech student then you are eligible for an internship from the V semester and placement from the VII semester and for MCA you are eligible for placement from the V semester. Companies like Amazon, Sarotech, Samsung, Amdocs, Genpact, and Deloitte visited the college every year. the highest package of NIT Jamshedpur is 80LPA and the lower is 6 LPA, more than 90% of students get placed every year. I am also preparing for my placement and am not interested in higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Hostel fees are 18,000 (yearly), mess fees are 17500 (yearly) and tuition fees are (70500 yearly). The placement of NIT Jamshedpur is decent, companies like Amazon, Sarotech, Samsung, Amdocs, Genpact, and Deloitte came for FTE+internship Almost 90% + students of in each department get placed.
Campus Life
Culfest is the cultural fest and Ojas is the annual Techno fest of NIT Jamshedpur, apart from this department fest and Dandiya nights held every year in October, Library has almost all books related to course and curriculum, and classrooms are the main attraction for newly admitted students because of their modern look and facilities, annual sports fest are organized every year in September -October. NSS is a social group that is run by students of all department and each department have its society.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are quite good, there is A to K hostels, including 2 mega hostels which have a capacity of 1500 students. Meals are served 4 times a day, and the taste is very good. Except for the Ph.D. course, all students reside inside the hostel because the outside area didn't have facilities like PG and rented room
