Remarks
Admission was through jossaa counselling. a candidate has to appear for jee mains to take admission into this college. if you belong to the general category u have to score above 95 percentile for admission and for getting branches as ECe and cs percentile should be above 97. reservation definitely has benefits if you belong to a certain reserved category you can get admission here even after getting a low percentile.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties here are highly qualified, almost all the faculty have one degree from iit. some teachers teach well but some are only knowledge carriers they don't know how to teach. terms Exams are very difficult here teachers try their best to set an exam as difficult as they can only because of relative grading average students here are able to pass the exam.
Placement Experience
the only good thing which I think here is good placements. placements are getting better every year this year average package was around 14.5 lakh including all branches. this year 47 students got a 44 lakh rupee package from only one firm that is amazon. numerous companies come here for placements. big giants like amazon and Microsoft also come here.
Fees and Financial Aid
around 1.5 lakh is the fee for 1 year here including all the charges. mess and hostel for one year cost around 50 thousand. So about 8 lakhs is required for engineering which is less than private colleges which nearly costs around 12-15 lakhs. The low fee in this college is also because it is one among those 5 iiits which are totally government colleges.
Campus Life
Campus life is not up to the mark. here life becomes so stressed due to the academic load you hardly get the time to participate in extra curricular activities. and if you get involved in certain other activities then get ready for facing bad grades. there are numerous clubs -cultural and sports both if you can manage your studies with them then it's fine.
Hostel Facilities
hostels here are 3 seater room. you won't get a single room until you are in your final year. rooms are non-ac, LAN port is provided to everyone for the internet. meal quality is getting better day by day. hostel fee for 1 semester is 11000. nobody is allowed to stay outside the campus and everyone has to take a hostel inside the campus.
