Remarks

Admission to IGDTUW takes place as per the rank in JEE MAINS. It is an all India engineering entrance exam whose score is a pre-requisite for entrance into the majority of engineering colleges in India. In order to apply to colleges affiliated by govt. Of Delhi, counseling of JAC DELHI has to be gone through. DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, AND IIITD are the 4 engineering institutions in Delhi that come under JAC Delhi. You fill in your preferences in that counseling and are hereby allocated a seat as per your cutoff. For admission in IGDTUW, you need up to 30,000 ranks for CSE and as low as 1 lakh for the lowermost branches. There are Reservations on the basis of caste, PWD, defense, and others. The admission process is quite convenient and since joint counseling takes place, you can consider your options amongst the best colleges in Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is similar to that of any engineering college in India. The reason I chose Cse, is because of my interest in computer science and because of the tremendous placement opportunities in this field. FACULTY is supportive of research projects and web app development projects. As far as teaching is concerned, classes take place regularly and teachers are dedicated to teaching. However, the use of smart education is restricted and practical tutoring is not seen much on campus. Exams take place at regular intervals, twice a semester with a moderate difficulty level as compared to private institutions.

Internships Opportunities

4

150 internships were offered by 83 companies. Major roles that are offered are software developer employees, product managers, and technology analysts. Stipend ranges from 25k to 1.6lakhs with the highest offered by Flipkart, DE Shaw, and uber. Google and Microsoft offer around 1.2 lakhs. Investment banks offer about 80-90k as they offer relocation and flight tickets.

Placement Experience

4

Companies like Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, Intuit, Uber, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Walmart, Flipkart, Salesforce, Adobe, American Express, Volvo, Expedia, Cisco, GE, Nestle, Siemens, Accenture, Myntra, DELL, etc. Visited the campus this year. About 500 full-time employment offers were made by 83 companies and 200 internships were provided. The highest CTC Atlassian is 82 LPA, and the average CTC is 12lpa. By semester 4, students become eligible to sit for an internship drive and by semester 6, they become eligible for interviews. However, there's a one-personal offer system that doesn't allow you to sit for interviews if you have received an on-campus offer.

Fees and Financial Aid

As for a four-year course like BTech, fees have to be paid annually for four years starting with roughly 85k for cse. This increased to some 92k in 2nd year. In the third year, some 105k was paid and as for the final year, 115k has to be paid. Since it's a government college, fees are less than any private institution's fees. Being an all-girls college, the fees are less than any govt. College fees to offering BTech in Delhi. There are so many scholarships and programs for women in tech. I got an intern offer from Morgan Stanley with a stipend of 87k per month. The average stipend goes for about 50k with companies like uber and Flipkart offering as high as 160k per month. For placements, the average base is about 10 LPA, with the highest CTC at 84lpa by Atlassian, and 56lpa by Microsoft. Base however, does not exceed 23lpa.

Campus Life

4

IGDTUW has its annual cultural fest around April. It's called Taarangana and it's the biggest fest in our college. Same Taarangana organizes another cultural fest jhilmil, Diwali fest. Innerve is the techiest which takes place around September or October. The library is usually loaded with curriculum books. However, it gets out of stock around the mid of the semester. There are many cultural societies, technical groups, and communities in the college. Dramatics, music, dance, art, community service, mechanics, AI, coding, competitive programming, and development everything is done here.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

After getting my score of JEE Mains, I was able to take admission in the top govt. engineering colleges in Delhi, so I didn't need to go for private because of cost factor and less employment opportunities.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
