NIT RAIPUR Review

Eligibility for pursuing B.Tech from NIT Raipur student must qualify 12th or 10+2 with at least 75 % marks. To get admission to NIT Raipur students must have to fill out the application form for jee mains. And has to secure a rank of at least up to 70000 to get admission to the lowest branch. Students can fill out their forms on the official website of nta jee http://jeemain.nta.nic.in. The application form fee for jee mains is Rs.650 for boys of general/OBC and 325 for girls and boys of sc/st and transgender. There is a state quota for the students of Chhattisgarh. The admission process is very smooth and performed very nicely by jossa and NTA but it is a bit lengthy process which can take up to 1 month.

I choose this course because according to my rank in jee mains this is the best I am getting and also because NIT Raipur is a reputed and also a good college among all engineering colleges. All the faculty members are good and also very cooperative. Almost all faculty members are Ph.D. degree holders having a good experience. The faculty: student ratio is also good as good amounts of teachers are present. There is a three-term exam which occurs at a gap of almost 1 month. The exams are moderate but viva-voice is difficult enough to check the ability of students.

There are many opportunities for an internship as being a college of national importance not only the noncore companies but also the core companies provide a good number of internship opportunities in various fields.

The students are eligible to take placements as soon as they get into 4th year i.e. 7th semester. many companies visited in past years like Delottie, Phone Pay, ZS, L&T, Accenture, Birla, Iocl, and many more. about 200 companies visit every year. About 80 % of students get placed each year.

The fees for the B.Tech course at NIT Raipur are 1,34,000 per year which is college fees and 34,000 for hostels per year, which is the least among all NITs. There is no hike in fees as NITs are government-operated institutes. There are many scholarships for sc/st students and for students whose family income is less than 5 lacs. The loan is easily available for the fees at different banks. There are no such jobs for students on campus for financial assistance but you can try outside the college.

There are a lot of clubs and communities at NIT Raipur. There are a lot of fest and curricular activities going on the whole year on campus. There is a saurya club which organizes many events related to different games .there is a literate club which is for literature-related curricular .there are clubs like abhinaya, ragga, and nitryam which are related to drama, singing, and dancing. The NIT Raipur has one of the biggest libraries among all Nits, which has the availability of a lot of books and journals.

The hostels are quite good, at such a cost of 34,000 per year. They provided us with a bed, a table, a chair, a fan, one almirah, etc. The food quality is also good. paratha, idli, etc. for breakfast, allo sabji -roti, paneer, dal, etc. for lunch and dinner. The registration of the hostel is an online process. As Nit Raipur has a limited amount of rooms, all students did not get the college hostels, so they have to go for PGs .there is a good amount of PGs available nearby at an efficient cost.
