For IIT You have to give the entrance exam for JEE mains and advance to the 12th class or after that then according to cutoff and rank you have to select a college with your preference. You have to pass both the exams jee mains and jee advanced to get admission to any IIT in India.
Course Curriculum Overview
All the professors in IIT colleges are very talented. If you have an interest in any field then you can master that field by selecting the appropriate professor. For BTech/Bs students there are 8 semesters in four years. In each semester you have to choose your courses according to the branch template and complete the credits. There will be mid-sem and end-sem exams.
Placement Experience
Generally, placement starts after the 6th semester for ug students and after the 8th sem for pg students. All interested students can sit for placement. Then companies select students according to their plans. The highest package varies yearly. last year's highest package was more than 2cr and this year still placements are going on
Fees and Financial Aid
You can avail of one govt scholarship and one private scholarship from any institution. At IIT Kanpur there are two types of scholarships FBM and MCM. In the third-year campus, recruitment starts for internships. And the fourth year is for placement. placements begin in Sept and go till December.
Campus Life
There are many social groups and clubs that are part of IIT. In each club, you will get a different experience, and you will get the opportunity to explore more. And all clubs are run by students. Talking about the social group there are different groups according to states who celebrate their state festivals and anyone can join them
