Remarks
This college is affiliated with Rajasthan Technical University, Kota and the admission process is regulated and managed by RTU itself, though some seats are also reserved for college and you can take those seats if you reach college early for admission. The admission is done through REAP counseling which has its own eligibility criteria, and they also give preference to students appeared in JEE mains and the minimum 12th percentage is about 70% (it may change)
Course Curriculum Overview
PIET is NBA accredited for the Computer Science branch. So each subject have its PO's (Program outcomes) & CO's(Course Outcomes). The curriculum given by RTU is followed and also some teachers are PhD qualified in their respective subjects. Teachers may not concentrate on each students but you can ask doubts in class or after class in free time. 2 midterms per semester are organized in college with practice exams.
Internships Opportunities
College provides in-house training/internship opportunities during summer internships after every year. Students can choose from available choices and do training/internship in their preferred field. There are some fees and a project is also made to add to the resume.
Placement Experience
Placements start after the 6th semester, companies like cognizant, Optimus, Optum, Wipro, byjus, hdfc, Deloitte, TCS, and many more come for hiring and packages start from 3 LPA and go to 15-20lpa (on campus). The average stands about 5 LPA and almost every student gets placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
As PIET is NBA accredited. So there is a hike of 10-12k in fees and development fees of 4k are added. You can avail of many scholarships on your own. The college doesn't provide any scholarship in the Computer Science branch at the time of admission.
Campus Life
Poornima Group's annual fest is named Aarohan is generally organized in February and a tech fest named Aadhaar is also organized which is subdivided into Robo war, Robbo soccer, Robo race, etc. Sports and technical competition is organized during the weeklong annual fest Aadhar. There are about 15 clubs for each interest.
